Think of your life together.

 

Jesus said, “I am the Life.”

 

“In your life together, think the way Christ Jesus thought.”

Philippians 2:5

 

As a man thinks, so is he!

If you think too much about food, you become a glutton!

If you think too much about sex, you become a pervert. 

If you think too much about money, you become greedy.

 

If you think too much about it, ….

What do you think you will become if you think too much about Jesus?

You will become more and more like Jesus!

Talk like Him!

Walk like him!

Think like him!

Do like him!

Therefore, Jesus provides an occupation whereby at the same time keeping the mind busy. Jesus provides the means to become a disciple.

 

Let it be known the definition of discipleship as: “Jesus chose twelve to be with him.”

Discipleship is being with people and leading them by example the way of life Jesus modeled to his disciples.

 

If you love one, more likely you will love two, and if you love two you will more likely love three.

Like Peter, James and John.

For if you don’t have one you cannot have two, let alone three or twelve.

 

More is not better according to Jesus.

In matters of Discipleship you do not multiply but add slowly and carefully and many times painfully.

Discipleship is not a trade that you master but a nature that you acquire.

 

Jesus did not say I will teach you to fish but he said I will make you fishers of men.

The Maker of the universe will again MAKE you fisher of men.

 

By your love for one another they will know that you are disciples. 

Be a disciple until YOU ARE a true disciple.

 

People wonder about the disciples asking one another saying;

Are they not these men fishers and carpenters?

Yes!

How come they know so much?

They notice that they were with Jesus.

For Jesus, good company was very important.
