Gerry Gutierrez' Update

If I survive dialysis… I can survive anything.

Dialysis is a tormenting unescapable agony best described by the suffering Rich man of the story of Lazarus in the arms of Abraham.

Let me share with you some of my Saturday routine my friends

Saturday taxis charge more and a lot more if it rains.

Doomed if you have breakfast and doomed if you do not.

If you eat breakfast, you will likely have diarrhea on the long road to the Hospital.

Should you not have breakfast before Dialysis you will starve from breakfast and lunch until five pm.

If you have a little something to hold you over… then you will likely go through dialysis miserable and hungry wanting an interruption to go to the restroom.

YES ….it is plain miserable either way.

Since other saints are going through their own valley of the Shadow of death …I will focus on something positive.

When you have gone through this kind of “Boot Camp,” you can actually go through anything in the land of the living.

Somehow you line up with heroes and you feel a little taller.

So…this is how the Big Leagues play ball humm?

But why now …when I am old and tired and not before when I was young and stronger?

Perhaps before I would have taken credit but as it is I can only pride in my weakness and learn what it means to be strong in weakness.

Thank you “uncle Job” for setting the pace.

How else this verse can be true of a follower of Jesus.

“You are the light that shines for the world to see. You are like a city built on a hill that cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14
