To pray for friends is Human.

Praying for friends is Human, praying for enemies is divine.

People that hate me succeed only by making it harder for me to love them. By the command of Jesus I must love them, I love them and love them to death. Confidentially and between you and me, let me tell you that the best way to get revenge is to love your enemies until they cannot stand it. Remember that as a dog begets dog love begets love.

Look to Jehovah, he loved us when we were yet sinners and that is the love of God. His love is unquenchable, deep, wide, high and long and Jesus loved us when we were yet sinners.

If you say I cannot love my enemies. Then it must be time for someone to tell you that the love of God does not dwell in you because you are really not loving the enemy. It is Jesus who lives through you but you no longer live. But Jesus in you is the hope of glory and when he lives within you, then you will love the unlovable for his own glory and honor forever and ever. Your enemies expect your hate to feel good and justified. I say don’t let him feel good, just love them.

Anybody can love good little boys and good little girls. The challenge is to love the unlovable when they were yet sinners and they did not deserved love. That’s called Grace. That’s called divine love and that’s the love that you have been called to love.

You might say;” My enemies will take advantage of me if they know this.” That is right!’

How do you know this?

Because you and I are taking advantage of God’s grace, God‘s love, God‘s compassion, God‘s mercy, God‘s generosity, God‘s faithfulness, God’s forbearance, God’s long suffering.

We are just like the man on the Cross who in the last minute of his life he stole salvation in Jesus. He took advantage of Jesus. [An edited version of this last Paragraph is included below the post script]
