“You are not your own.”

Many psychological problems are rooted in the lack of identity of who we are and to whom we belong. The worldview of a person is the backbone where he hangs every conviction and value necessary to have a balanced life.

In your thinking process, unless you depart from God as creator and author and owner of all things, you are still under the curse of believing consciously or unconsciously that “Nothing plus nobody is equal to everything.”

Your father in heaven and great shepherd of the sheep, in his great knowledge provided you a strong nail in the wall where you hang the hat of your convictions or doubts in the following verse.

“The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein.” Psalm 24:1

Though the earth as a Ranch and the cattle of the thousand hills belong to the Lord, the Cowboys within the Ranch are also his.

That should be enough to put our minds at ease.

I belong to him and no one can touch me without going over his dead body. Jesus says, my father is greater than the one who is in the world and from my father’s hands no One can snatch him or her away. Your fear of loneliness comes from not believing the word of God that says “you belong to him.”

I remember as if it was yesterday, one morning after my quiet time with the Lord I came down to have breakfast with Ruthie and I shared with her with great excitement how the Lord Jesus said to his father: They were yours and you give them to me and I have given them the Holy Spirit.

Then I said to Ruthie, mama we were never our own, we have always been under his loving care. Even long before creation we were in his thoughts. We both smiled in a sense of gratitude for belonging truly to God.

Since you are a man who will rehash his own ideas against himself, “I advise you as a brother not to rehash but just believe it in a childlike manner trusting in all things and believe all things but above all believe the word of God. Believe because God is love, otherwise he would have not told you to believe the earth and everything in it belongs to God including you and me.

He has got the whole world in his hands, he has the little baby in his hands and he has you and me in his hands. He has the whole wide World in his hands.
