Unmovable!

 

Science says that movement is the only way you know that something exists.

If something does not move, it does not exist.

 

That may be true in the space, temporal, material world where something is somewhere sometime ago and you only know it because it has moved and it keeps moving in relationship to you and to other things.

 

Though I am tempted to talk a little bit about Albert Einstein and his Theory of Relativity in order to sound relevant, I will refrain from doing so and focus my radar on “the motion of the righteous that is from God alone.”

 

Consider this verse: “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.” Psalm 55:22

 

You might have smiled along with me at the fact that the Bible speaks about movement but not as a result of chance but as a result of God’s sovereign will alone. Movement is the righteous in action reflecting the will of God only.

Any other Movement is thoroughly ignored as wondering starts by God.

 

While the meteorites that seem to go about aimlessly, the macrocosms that contain these little menacing bodies show the handiwork of God in the exactitude of a Swiss watch.

 

It should be mentioned at this time that it is not the universe that gives order to movement so that it seems to have a life of its own. No. It is God who has put order by the council of this will on everything for the sake of the righteous as the crown of his creation and nothing escapes the Control of his sovereign oversight.

 

The universe with its galaxies, constellations, orbits and seasons and every grain of sand in the seashores are wonderfully controlled to work all things for the benefit of the unmovable believer.

 

The whole universe in an apparent chaos shows a precise and exact course set by God in obedience to his will and the righteous it’s the one around whom all things have been assembled. It is God’s will for the righteous to be unmovable.

Movement is there to prove the existence of a Sovereign ruler, Lord of all.

In Genesis motion comes from the Holy Spirit who was moving over the waters.

 

As you face a new year it is imperative that you build your thoughts and actions on the solid rock of a Sovereign God who is the blessed controller of all things

for the good of everyone and the glory of God.

 

As an ancient boundary we need more than ever before to stand unmovable for the sake of Jesus and the generation of little ones yet to come.
