“Who is at work in you? ”

“Yes, it is God who is working in you. He helps you to want to do what pleases him, and he gives you the power to do it.” Philippians 2:13.

The reform way of thinking is the only one that is trying to embrace the doctrine of God working with believers and the desire to do things according to his will as the result of God working in them.

“That is why we never give up. Our physical body is becoming older and weaker, but our spirit inside us is made new every day.” 2 Corinthians 4:16

I would never have known the advantage of being old and becoming stronger in the inner man yet miserable and helpless physically in the outward man.

God is at work in me like a ringmaster of a circus that controls beautifully the equilibrium in such a way that when I’m young I cannot do what I can as an old man and as an old man I cannot what a young men can do so that the glory maybe his and his alone, less I develop a sense of independence from God and become a despicable glory grabber by stealing from God honor and glory.

The desire to be Independent from God is the greatest grandfather of all sins.

It was the desire to be independent from God that brought the most beautiful angel into the most awful demon. In the same way Adam and Eve, a beautiful couple in the garden that fellowship with God at the cool of the day, become the fallen due to their desire to be independent from God.

What have I given to God that he should be in the obligation to pay me back? Nothing! We are dealing with an absolute sovereign God who does not only know the end from the beginning and every step of the way but sets the future in the past in such a way that it cannot be in any other but God’s way.

For God who is at work in me will not leave a stone unturned nor he will not tax the farthest galaxies or the smallest grain of sand in the seashore to make all things work together for them in whom he has begun the good work.

We live in a perfectly created universe governed and controlled by a perfect God who happens to be a Good and loving God with plenty of resources that is full of compassion and generous to those who in childlikeness seek him.

PS. Today is my spiritual Birthday. (51) Congratulate me in your heart because I am a blessed man who loves Jesus, as my wife Ruthie would say. “A spoiled brat of God.” Much has been my sins and much is my love for Jesus and his forgiveness.

My days without pain and agony are few but they are glorious days full of grace.
