Gerry Gutierrez' Update
I am hurting but I am better. I am better. I am better.
Jesus is easier to please than men.
True grace is found in no one but in Jesus. If anyone should charge me for all my debts, that is Jesus, but he does not hold any of my bills against me. Instead, he has paid my debts in full and to top it all he is already waiting to welcome home by preparing a place for me.
My salvation is not a possibility but a certainty that even at this very moment as I write this line a broad smile has come to my face for God’s consumption only and for those who believe I am of Jesus.
The paralyzing fear of censorship and criticism is in the order of the day now among men in whom his favor does not rest. While Jesus does nothing in secret he also speaks frankly, honestly, directly and straightforwardly. As servants we are not greater than the master.
We must honor Jesus in the same way as he honored his father by not fearing the opinion of men but seeking the approval of God by speaking frankly. We cannot please man and God at the same time. If we please one we are displeasing the other.
Why is it that God in Jesus, who is the only one who has been offended beyond measure, is also the only one who is so willing to forgive and forget in a TULIP kind of love? That is called Grace. GRACE in capital letters. The beauty of grace is that Jesus died for us when we were still in our sins and in a state of depravity when we were dead in our sins and transgressions.
Man’s lack of grace and forgiveness is the best evidence that he himself does not know the forgiveness of God in Jesus which is by grace through faith and this not of yourself for even faith it’s a gift of God so no one can boast. This is to the glory of his name and the praise of his wonderful love forever and ever amen.
Beware my friends who do not forgive him or her whose sin has already been atoned and has been loved and forgiven already in Jesus the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world.
It should be easy for a former sinner to find grace and love for one another and among each other since we are partakers of the generous grace in Jesus. Yet where grace is absent, Jesus is also absent.
It is just fitting to say a word of caution to those who find it difficult to love others and are not gracious unto others on the basis of behavior. Jesus has already died for greater things than correcting the behavior of men. Jesus died to transform and make a new creature out of a sinful man. What God separated in Jesus for himself let no man keep hostage the soul of the penitent on earth.
Someone said this a long time ago. “The church is a harlot but she is my mother.”
When dealing with a believer who still is full of wrinkles, blemish, spots and all kinds of imperfections, remember that she is the bride of Jesus and you are also a guest into the family of God. You are not to make rules for others who by grace have been saved. Never keep in bondage him for whom God already has found acceptance in Jesus.
My personal longing is to see the believers abiding in love and by so doing letting the world know that they are the disciples of Jesus and of no one else to the glory of God and at the same time rejoice and enjoy the fellowship of the saints which is our inheritance on this earth. Never settle for a skin-deep relationship.
