Gerry Gutierrez' Update
He said, "Too many funerals Dad."
Why do you look at the living among the dead?
When the sand clock runs out of sand, we accept it as “normal.” When the smoke alarm runs out of battery, we also consider it “normal.” When the pen runs out of ink, we accept it also as “normal.” When the car runs out of gas we stop and consider it also as “normal.” It is perfectly normal to accept that all things in the temporal and visible world are limited in their duration and scope of life.
Where is the perfectly normal logic when it comes to man’s life on Earth? Why do we live life as if it will never end? Why do we think that death and dying is for the person in his sick bed or in the cemetery but not for me?
Why do we blatantly ignore the verse that says “Death is gain? Why do we live as if at the end of life he who has more toys wins? Let us be wealthy in the things above where the heavenly father dwells.
We need to repent. The gospel is a Gospel of repentance for the forgiveness of Sin. We need to repent from the unforgivable sin of unbelief. Lest we perish like pagans.
We must never forget that physical death is the beginning of real life and life eternal with God in God that will know no end.
Let us smile at death as to a friend who ushers us in front of a loving father. Let us greet warmly to the sister Spirit that gently takes our hands as we bow our heads and hear ourselves saying with our last breath, “Into your hands I commit my spirit.”
Loving and strong arms will lift us up to take us home making our death the happiest experience of a true new birth into the Kingdom of Heaven. I would burst into songs of Joy right now if it were not for the sake of the weak knee that still remembers the sting of death in so many and closing in so ever threatening manner. Thank you Jesus who is life and life eternal. We live in a generation that will be remembered as the generation of many dead people due to the pandemic and wars and natural disasters.
Gerry Gutierrez.
PS. Yesterday I saw too many doctors for one day. After ultrasound
the conclusion is "A new procedure will be done on my arm in two
weeks. After three weeks my hand is still swollen and draining. You might ask.
What do you think of all this? Groaning and moaning a little I would say,
