Tomorrow is my surgery and I need to Believe what I preach.

“Believe what you preach.”

Since you did not believe my words, you will not enter the Promised Land except Caleb. Caleb believed God. Faith will make you see giants as grasshoppers and the lack of faith will make you see grasshoppers as giants.

You are wealthy for the sake of others not for yourself. You have been blessed in order to be a blessing to others. It is not only boring but also selfish to live only for yourself. Be a cheerful giver.

If you must go, go but make sure that Jehovah God goes before, around and about you and that he is always in your midst. Otherwise, you will be defeated. And if you win your victory it will be short lived and with the flavor of defeat.

When in doubt you must remember past faithfulness and trust as a child in God.

While working in Washington DC I asked my pastor if there was a ministry where the political giants of our time were involved? He said No! Then I asked if He would give me permission to go after them.

Pastor Smallman said, “Go for It.” Thus, the Nehemiah Corporation was born.

I should have said, you can keep it. This is too great for me to try. Let someone else do it. Instead, I was honored by his confidence and jumped into the opportunity.

So, I end up fighting with giants and making friends with great men in the limelight such as Bill Middendof, Lyn Nofziger, Bill Armstrong, Dan Coates, Henry Cooper, Dan Hodel, Carlos Moorhead, Bill Emerson, Judge Bork, Dan Quayle, Carl Meyers, General Howard Grave, Doug Coe, Walter Kurt plus many more Senators and Diplomats and businessman. And prominent women such as Kye Mitchell, Sandy Smallman, Valery Moorhead, Marcia Coates, Marilyn Quayle, Ellen Armstrong. Susan Baker, etc.

Thus, a miserable poor sinner once forgiven by God became instantly rich for others….!!!! You might ask, what is your wealth? My wealth is to have seen the invisible God in Jesus. What else is there of greater value for my soul but to know him whom God has sent in his name. Knowing Jesus as the solid food is what scripture talks about. I live life with the desire that others might see and say that I have been with Jesus.

The wealth of a man is his intimacy with God in Jesus. Talking about Jesus is the most difficult task I have ever been assigned because it requires childlikeness from both ends of the bridge of communication and not at my end only.

Apart from childlikeness there is no justice you can do to the wonderful truths of God’s word which needs more acceptance than understanding.

God hides, but God also reveals and when he does reveal he does it to those like little ones and not necessarily to the wise and understanding.

As Jesus said: “That is God’s good pleasure.”

Jesus as God the Son is a child of God and that is what makes Jesus so beautiful and appealing. Would you please make a conscious effort to see the childlikeness of Jesus? Jesus is never obtuse.

I love to observe little children especially in the light that they died when on duty at the hands of the Herod who tried to kill Jesus as a child.

Let the little child in you come to Jesus. Jesus loves the little children of the world. Jesus is more than willing to make you sit in his lap and bless you. Come to Jesus today. You will never be to big or to heavy for Jesus to make you sit in his lap.

You have been placed in a poor and needy world. There is immeasurable wealth in knowing God in Jesus. Make him known by sharing your lunch from your brown bag and sharing yourself with others.

PS. As a child on his first day in school knows that there are bullies in that school, so Am I feeling that today as I plan to go to my surgery tomorrow. Caleb will take me early in the morning and Nathaniel will pick me up later that day. I am not looking forward to it, but do welcome your prayers on my behalf.
