God is his word.

“Living word.”

 

Every word of men is just that, “a word,” but the Word of God is a Living Word.

 

It is a grave mistake to give any value to the “Hot air” that comes out of the mouths of men and compare it with the “Living word” that comes from the mouth of God. The Word of God is a person and that person is Jesus, not “hotter air.”

 

Only a person can be alive and perform the following works.

 

“For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Hebrews 4:12.

 

Notice that the central theme of this verse is being alive and being quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

 

This verse can be a nice gold nugget to keep in our prospector’s saddlebag on the back of our computer donkey to carry around for a rainy day. This verse can also become a lifeless notch in our memorizing pistols as evidence of our memorizing powers.

 

But the beauty of this verse and the hidden wealth of its content is that it is a verse which is like a bridge connecting God and Man or the visible with the invisible or the spiritual with the carnal.

 

The “Word of God” like a sword penetrates to the flesh and blood of the heart without harming it but bringing life and health to the bone and marrow.

 

Lo and behold, if we are not talking about the Intercourse of the Spiritual with the carnal.

Lo and behold, if we are not talking about the living word which like a bridge connects the eternal and infinite with the temporal and finite.

 

A puff of hot air cannot do that. A concept cannot do that. But a living being can and will do that and that is Jesus the living word of God.

 

If you still have some doubts about this. Let me ask you, “When was the last time you have seen a real sword dissecting your intentions and without the shedding of blood decapitated your bad intention from your inner invisible being?

 

Should the possibility among humans exist which would be capable of entering into the mind of man, that tool would have been perfected a long time ago and used to transform the world into a human version heaven on earth.

 

I know that artificial intelligence is amazing but it is just that, “Artificial.”

But the “Word of God is alive.” “Our rock is not like their rock.” Jesus is our rock.

Rock of ages cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee.
