Gerry Gutierrez' Update

Your Sunday Food for thought.

“Look.”

Can you see in Jesus the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world?

“Look”... again ...What do you see when you look at Jesus? A lamb? A man?

Forgive me John but all I see is a man in a tunic with sandaled feet softly walking toward me. Look at him one more time. Look at Jesus until you see him for what he is and not what it looks like. JESUS IS THE LAMB OF GOD that is what Jesus is. “A lamb.”

The great commission of Jesus is TO TAKE AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD.

When you look at Jesus, you must see him as THE LAMB OF GOD THAT TAKES AWAY THE “SIN” OF THE WORLD otherwise he is of no value to you.

Notice that John the Baptist speaks of removing “SIN” in the singular from the world.

Sin is not a mistake or an infraction that deserves a ticket or a citation to a court of law to pay with the change in your wallet as a fine for a Misdemeanor or a felony. No! Sin is a person namely Satan that by force needed to be removed from the world of God’s creation.

Jesus did not come into this world to impart lessons on manners or defensive driving or teach precepts to better live life as if to do a better job in “Home and Garden.”

Jesus did not come into the world to make us go through a car wash and then detail clean our polluted bodies. No.

Jesus came into the world to kick the impostor out from the driver seat and then to be seated on the throne of our lives as the rightful king and master who bought us with the great price of his own blood by being sacrificed on the cross in our stead.

Look unto Jesus as the Lamb of God who snatches you away from slavery by a merciless tyrant. Look unto Jesus as the “LAMB OF GOD”.

Jesus is God’s own provision to satisfy his own righteous requirement on the person of his one and only son. You will then be in the position to understand the love of God ...‟who ... so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whosoever believes in him might not perish but have everlasting life.”

Everlasting life is possible only if sin, which is death, is absent from mortal bodies and life in Jesus lives in our immortal bodies. Look unto Jesus until you see in him the Lamb of God who came to take away Satan from your life.

This was your gentle reminder on duty of that which is already your precious inheritance.
