Multitudes and individuals…and Washington DC.

 

An impersonal number with many zeros is impressively mentioned on the front pages of the News Papers to indicate how many people have died as victims of the Coronavirus.

 

The numbers are so massive that the individuals who Just died in the morning hours of the day do not count but as statistics. What is also ironically abnormal is that funerals and mourning for the dead are few and far in between.

 

The question even in the church is, “How many went to church?” Not “Who went to Church?” The tree is being swallowed in the forest. The individual is a threatened species disappearing in the crowds.

 

If I remember correctly in the Genesis account, God did not create the multitudes but the individual man and he created him male and female with personal names as Adam and Adama. Man and woman. “Ish and Isha.” Male and female.

 

There is no doubt in my mind that Almighty God could have created the whole human race with a snap of his fingers without the need of sex and procreative organs that could have easily saved us from the gender related issues such as multiple bathrooms.

 

If that would have been the case, “How then could the love, the wisdom, and the grace of God have been revealed to man, the crown of his creation?

 

God is a personal God who has created a person to fellowship in an monogamists manner so that his love affair is not with a Harem but one person at the time and unique in nature and quality. It is as if the one individual whomever you might be is to God the only reason for all created.

 

God is involved in courtship with you and with everyone “Personally” yet without perpetrating the sin of polygamy because God is above the Law as the author of the Law. Therefore, he is able to satisfy every longing of ours because he can and that is because he is God the omnipresent and omnipotent Lord of all.

 

The first evidence of your personal love affair with God is the absence of jealousy and the complete satisfaction with the love of God even when you see God loving others as he loves you. 

 

Truly, truly I say unto you from personal experience, “We are not one more among a countless multitude of people, but we are as special as the first born in Jesus.

The personal hands of God with an exact number of chromosomes uniquely put us together so that even the color of your eyes is uniquely painted by God’s personal and loving fingers.

 

Should you go home to heaven today, you will not be crossing the border along with so many immigrants or even on top of a train as one more in a million, unnoticed, uncelebrated and barely tolerated at arrival. No, my friend!!

 

The love of God and your personal worth in Jesus, will make the gates of heaven open wide and the entrance to Paradise is free from the Angel with a flaming sword guarding the door.

 

Rejoice with me my friend as we together can almost hear the cheering multitude of angels honoring our arrival while your eyes will behold Prince Jesus already standing next to the throne of Gods ready to welcome you home and embrace you with words and whispers designed for your ears only.

 

Multitudes might die on earth every day, but victorious arrival to heaven is the inheritance of those who know that in Jesus: “Death is gain.”

 

This was “the Tertius” of God on duty that greets you today.

PS. Yesterday the Capitol Hill in Washington DC got a sucker punch in the face.

Today we will know who really got a black eye.

 

Once I was hit hard by a sucker punch in the face but I did not get a black eye. The hand that hit me was black and blue in short order. I did not hit back though I knew how and would have won easily.

 

Why did I not hit just as hard in self-defense? Because by winning I would have lost. The same hand that stopped Abraham from killing his son Isaac stopped my hand with a loving word. “Vengeance is mine. I will repay.”

 

It is time to remember that in God’s economy we win by losing and lose by winning. Are you perhaps offended? Wait and see the hand of God.

 

Open your eyes and see those who are laughing weep, and those who are weeping laugh. Remember that the laughter of the redeemed is for those who prayerfully and fearfully wait on the Lord. If you take personal vengeance, that will be your reward and nothing else. But if you wait on the Lord you will live long enough to see him do you justice as in noonday light for everyone to see.
