Gerry Gutierrez' Update

Time to share about what we are.

The gift of gifts at Christmas time.

Reciprocity is the Law of the Universe of God.

God gave such an unspeakable gift in the person of his Son and the world in gratitude represented here by the three wise men tells us of how it is a proper thing to take a long journey bringing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. For the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords and the Savior from God.

The giving of gifts is just one part of Christmas. The real reason why gifts are given to God is a sign of worship. Gifts are the expression of worth. Jesus as the servant of God did not need a teddy bear or a pacifier but a scholarship or babysitting fee to Joseph and Mary to do the work of ministry.

A servant is worth his keep. Servants of God are supposed to be free from worldly cares. Those who live by the gospel should live from the gospel.

Scripture says you shall not muzzle the ox when it’s plowing.

As much as you may have given from what you have, from what you know or from what you can, God and his servants need one thing above all from you. That is for you to give him from what you are, your friendship your fellowship your communion because the Fellowship of the Saints is our inheritance on this earth.

Exchanging gifts on Christmas day started with God by the gift of his son and the gift of oneness with Him. We must be generous in our giving as if we would be giving to ourselves to the point that to give is more blessed than to receive.

A dispenser of grace and a consumer of grace may be one and the same but to give places you in the position of God who so loved the world that he gave first when we were yet sinners his one and only son.

Give now, for where you are going you cannot take even your favorite tattoos.

Give cheerfully because God loves cheerful givers. Give to the poor for us the scripture says he who gives to the poor lends to the Lord. God pays back not only interest but also the capital one hundred times in this life and life eternal in the life to come. Only sweet Jesus is the Gift and the giver of gifts.

If you think you have not much to give, try giving your widow's mite and you’ll be surprised with the returns. That is the secret to living by faith in a childlike manner. Might the Lord bless you as you receive Jesus the little boy from God in your heart this Christmas.
