“If
Pride is the grandfather of all sins,
My son asked me to write an article contrary to “Pride and Envy.” I could not think of any other thing contrary to Envy and Pride other than Humility and Meekness.”
“A little man with power” cannot be humble. It takes a great man to be humble. Moses according to the Holy Spirit was the meekest man on earth.
To put up with a multitude of difficult people in the desert for forty years, you need to be a great man who knows self-sacrifice for the sake of the will of God.
It could be said that a true humble man will be a great man and a true great man must be a humble man. As great as Moses was, it is Jesus who is the greatest standard of humility and meekness or Self Sacrifice.
SS in this case does not stand for Social Security. SS in this case does not stand for Secret Service either. SS in this case does stand here for Self-Sacrifice.
The SS in capital letters represents Jesus the Son and Savior as well as Self Sacrifice.
The “lower case” sss-ss-ssss letters represent the envious and proud works of Satan and Sons in their final confrontation with Jesus on the cross. The Serpent only managed to wound the heels of Jesus. But Jesus managed to smash the Serpent’s head to death.
“JESUS VERSUS SATAN.”
Once upon a time Satan out of Pride and Envy wanting to be like God organized a rebellion against God and failed miserably but achieved hell and demons.
Another time, Adam and Eve wanting to be like God also failed in disgrace. They were thrown out of the garden of Eden and the human race was cursed to dwell out of the protective custody of God being vulnerable outside of the garden until the Selfless Savior came to Save in Humility and Self Sacrifice, the sinful sinners.
Let us see how the Sovereign Savior, Selflessly Saved the human race. In Submission, Jesus was stripped. Slandered. Sneered. Spit. Slapped. Struck. Speared. Shakened their heads.
After a life-long ministry Jesus was Savagely Stripped naked from all dignity by those seeking to silence him by snatching his life from the land of the living.
Let us point out right from the start that the aim of the nearsighted religious and envious proud leaders was to kill Jesus. This was the easiest thing to do if you have the power of the sword and authority at your disposal. After all Jesus was not defending himself nor did he want to live a little longer, because he came to die. Not to be killed.
On the other hand, the laser focus of Satan, the enemy of God and of Jesus, was to dissuade Jesus from the cross. It was to the point of reminding him that he saved others and he could surely save himself from the horrible cross.
Once on the cross, even those who passed by shook their heads and sneered at him. “Come down and we will believe in you.” They offered their very soul in exchange for Jesus renouncing the cross.
The thieves said, “Save yourself and save us.” They saw Jesus in need of salvation, which to them meant a little bit more time on earth. But Jesus was buying eternal life by his death.
There were present more sophisticated demons incarnated among those weak souls standing by the cross of Jesus. They used Theology so dear near to the heart of Jesus saying, “He trusted in God let him deliver him if he delights in him.”
Those Satanic words came from the pit of Hell and were aimed against the personal faith of Jesus in God as Father. It would be paraphrased; “You started your ministry in the Jordan River where you heard a voice that you are the Son of God and that He is well pleased with you.
You have come to believe those words and worked for over three years believing such words. But from what I know there is no such thing as fatherly care. Later you believed on the mountain of transfiguration the same voice and you also believed that God is well pleased with you and that people should listen to you.
Well, where are those that are supposed to follow you? Isn’t this a time that your Father should deliver you if he is delighted with you?
You have been hearing voices Jesus!
You helped others and we all know it. Why don’t you come down and we will believe in you!
YEAH!! Seconded the motion by another demon possessed person nearby. But the Self-Sacrificing Savior when travailed he travailed not. Instead, he prayed the Great Prayer that only a humble loving leader can pray. “FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO.” It was this prayer that my wonderful father in Heaven used to spear my heart and make himself known to me in Jesus.
No man could have prayed such a prayer unless the power of God who is Love is within him. I trace my personal salvation to the voice of God in Jesus when he said, “Forgive them Father because they know not what they do.”
Only a true Humble and self-sacrificial God who so loved the world could have said such words.
Now it makes sense why such an awesome and powerful God did not strike back but took the flogging so that by his stripes we are healed. The Selfless Savior came to save in Humility and Meekness and Self Sacrifice the human race.
Let us see again how the Sovereign Savior, Selflessly Saved the human race.

Stripped………….. they sought to humiliate him in nakedness. Scarlet……………. they mocked him as a “Poor royalty.” Staff……………….. they put a scepter of wood to the true king. Slandered…………. they heap insults on and innocent meek man. Sneered……………. they mistreat him, as only a lynch mob knows how. Spit………………….. they spit on the beautiful face of the Son of God. Slapped……………... they used their close fist to slap Jesus. Stroked………………. they hit his head with a stick, not to hurt their hands. Speared………………. they wounded him who came to heal by his wounds. Shaked their heads.……. they in disbelief shook their heads in mockery.
Only Jesus the true Humble and Meek, Perfect Son of God can by love remove Pride and Envy from our wicked hearts. It is love that would not let me go.
The best way of knowing whether you have Jesus in you is by the absence of pride and envy from your heart. The best way to be secure that you are of Jesus is by longing in your heart to live like Jesus in humility and meekness.
