demand to go back to Prayer and Praying.
Jesus
said, “This, then, is how you should pray”
We have something in Heaven that is “ours.”
To believe what we have in God is the foundation of our prayers. Our Father in Heaven has a mansion that the Heaven of heavens can’t contain.
On the other hand, our planet is one of the smallest dust particles in the universe and the God who created this universe is Our Father.
During recess on the playground of this world, we can and we should say proudly and confidently to anyone who is not in our family: “Our Father is bigger than your father; our father can beat your father; Our Father is richer than your father; no one is greater than Our Father who art in Heaven.”
Our Father is in Heaven, yet He loves to dwell in the small house that is our heart. Our body is a house where the infinite and eternal God has made His home.
As in the words of David: “One thing Jesus has spoken, but two things I have heard.”
Jesus is teaching us to address God as Our Father, but as Our Teacher and Master, He allows us the joy of discovering who we are. The fact hidden in those words is, “That we are His children on Earth, and that is what we are to God: His children, thanks to Jesus!”
Therefore, this, then is how we should pray: “Our Father who art in Heaven.”
