Repeat after Jesus:

“Our Father who art in Heaven.”

 

The foundation upon which we build our life of communion with God is found in the words of Jesus, God the son, who said, “Our Father who art in Heaven.”

“We are the children of God in Heaven.”

“Our God is not only our God.”

“He is ‘our Father who art in Heaven.’”

 

In Jesus we are adopted as children of God. And that is what we are!

         We are the children of God

         We are the predestined of God

         We are the elected of God

         We are the chosen of God

         We are the justified of God

         We are the sanctified of God

         We are the saved of God

         We are the glorified of God

         We are the redeemed of God

         We are the believers of God

         We are the apples of his eye

         We are the sheep of his pasture

         We, and we alone, are of God

 

Founded upon the forensic word of Jesus who declare God to be “Our Father in Heaven.” We are of God from beginning to end, members of the body of him who was, is and cannot but be Our father in Heaven. We are of God as the hand, feet and eyes are of the body.

This is the teaching elder on duty in matters of Prayer.
