Gerry Gutierrez' Update
Short articles of the, "Yes Jesus" Book on prayer. # 93
Repeat after Jesus: “Our Father who art in Heaven”
If I do not remember that God is our Father who art in heaven today, then I forget my identity before God, as well as before myself and before other people. Then I am not wearing my name tag that identifies me as belonging to the name that is above every name, the name of Jesus my God in the flesh. For in Jesus the kingdom of God came for a visit to our world and our taste for heaven has been so transformed that I want nothing on earth but his kingdom to come. And the only thing that I ask is for his will and only his will to be done on earth as it is done in heaven. Then identified with this name, wearing the nametag as the employee of the kingdom, I go about declaring and doing His will. Only then do I rightfully ask for my daily lunchbox to be strengthened in heart, soul, and mind, to be kept clean in forgiveness and cleaning others by forgiveness, and ask to be kept from falling as well as to be daily delivered from sin. This is the teaching elder on duty in matters of Prayer. Gerry Gutierrez.
