Jesus said, “This, then, is how you should pray:

“Our Father who art in Heaven”

 

Earthly fathers can be in only one small place at a time, but Our Father in Heaven can be in Heaven and everywhere at the same time. God dwells in Heaven and He wants His children to be with Him. 

 

No one can take you to the Father in Heaven but Jesus. He is the only way to the Father. He alone knows the way to Heaven.

 

Anyone who wants to go home to be with Our Father must ask Jesus to take him home. There is no other who is able to take him on that trip. The abyss that separates Heaven and Earth is too large for anyone to go to Heaven in their own strength. 

 

Jesus came down and brought the Kingdom of God near. He planted it within our hearts and He is coming again to claim that which is His.

 

There is one thing that even earthly fathers cannot do to their earthly and tender children and that is to leave them in a faraway place to live happily ever after in their luxurious mansions. But Our Father in Heaven, who Himself is love and has created us in order to love us. 

 

Therefore, let us be of good cheer and confidently pray, “Our Father who art in Heaven.” # 45
