Gerry Gutierrez' Update

"Honorable men belong to the same tribe." (Navajo)

“Speaking about Jesus is an honor.”

Knowing who Jesus is does not give one license to speak about Jesus.

“Jesus drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.” Mark 1:34

“To believe in God is good, even the demons believe and tremble before him.”

To believe in God’s existence is not enough to be counted as righteousness.

With the mouth one confesses but with the heart one believes.

There is a dimension of belief that has to do with “Trust, love and complete dependence which is called saving faith.”

Many are speaking today about Jesus without having been licensed to speak by Jesus himself.

Last night I heard my son preaching about Jesus. Most of his life Nathaniel wanted to pursue Licensure and Ordination in order to freely speak about Jesus. Nathaniel loves to speak about Jesus and Jesus has allowed him to speak on his behalf. I love to hear a man who Jesus lets speak on his behalf.

Jesus does not let the demons speak about Him. Speaking about Jesus does not primarily have to do with eloquence, scholarship, height and weight and looks, but godliness based in humility, meekness and blessed with the “separation” of holiness.

A demon might know about Jesus more than any scholar, but he is not meek, humble, holy or blessed by the approval of God. Please consider before you speak what you are about to speak in anointed words conceived in the Holy of Holies and count with the fresh dew of Heaven.

Anointed sermons are like time bombs that have a delayed effect in the listener in God’s own good time. Sermons faithfully preached in the fear of the Lord might not have the instant gratification of good feedback or have even negativity, but it will have a life of its own if you remember the words of The Lord to Ezekiel.

“Tell them my words whether they listen or fail to listen, but they will know that a prophet has been among them.”

Remember fellow servants of Jesus that history under the sun will end in the great day of the Lord known as the judgment day. God is building a case and conviction of sin is in the agenda of the judge and the elders of the jury.

This was a witness of Jesus on duty with license to speak.
