Gerry Gutierrez' Update

To Mothers who love Jesus. Some thoughts as food for the heart.

“To Mothers who love Jesus.”

“Guard your thoughts by believing the word of God, less by listening to “the Serpent,” or you might become like him.”

“As a man thinks so is he.” You are what you listen to and think about the most. “We not what we say we are but what we really are.” We are not our definition but our description.

Before the fall, Adam and Eve “knew” God by being one with him in the truth.”

When Adam knew Eve they were one flesh. Truth knowledge involves intimacy.

The Priestly Prayer of Jesus for the redeemed was that we might know him by being one with God in Jesus and with one another too. Jesus died that we might be one as we were one in the Garden before the fall.

A twisted thought of God is not knowledge of God. The invisible and spiritual God of the Scripture is only made visible through Jesus. God has revealed himself in Jesus. “Any knowledge of God apart from Jesus is anything but knowledge of God.”

God is love, God is perfect, God is good, God is pure, God is Holy and Jesus is all that because Jesus is God the Son. If you want to see God, look unto Jesus.

When in idleness a man is prompted to wander from the God he loves, he will listen to other voices rather than God’s voice only. In those times, man is in danger to develop the sympathy of the “mother hen.” Then start defending God before a crafty malicious enemy of God by saying, “No, God did not say you will not eat any fruit of the garden, but he did say, you can eat from all and every fruit of the Garden except from the forbidden fruit. We are not supposed to even touch it.”

“Eve reciprocated kindly to the deceitful cruel serpent enemy of God who also exaggerated against God by falsely accusing him as the forbidder in chief of every fruit of the garden.

A Mother’s Day advice, “Mama, teach your children not to talk to a stranger.”

The Talmud teaches, “He who is kind to the cruel, will be cruel to the kind.”

Be careful with the kindness of the cruel, for behind their false words of flattery there it is the poison of vipers.

When the love of God in Jesus does not rest in your heart, then your belief in God will be distorted, dishonorable, offensive and provocative over and against the glory of God.

He who said, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” will not have for innocent him who mocks the name of God.

God is kind but he was treated with cruelty while the cruel idols that demand even child sacrifice are treated kindly. The lack of power to love and be kind is evidence of the absence of God or lack of knowledge of God.

Jesus said clearly, “A new commandment I give you, love one another, as I have loved you, by this they will know you are my disciples if you love one another.”

From that day forward the love for one another would never be at the measure of our imagination but under the example of the self-given love of Jesus.

Notice that Jesus was not like some people nowadays who talk often about love and prayer but seldom truly love anyone in self-investment and intercessory prayer. In contrast our Lord Jesus seldom said, “I love you or I am praying for you,” but Jesus loved his own and prayed without ceasing to his last breath.

Since then, the measure of love is in the giving of self. Until we do the same, we really do not love as Jesus loved us. If your godliness demand from you is to make sure that you love as Jesus loved. Then I suggest to “love first” as he has loved us and caused us to love him back as a willing conquered heart to such a lover.

Most people were perfect strangers when they first met, but the power of love and kindness made them strong united couples that anchored great families. Your thought and knowledge of God in Jesus will be irresistibly visible in your fruits as surely as its fruit knows the tree.

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit; neither a bad brut can bear a good fruit.

(Let me take few seconds for a commercial greeting for Mother’s Day.)

I know a great lady with the likeness of my godly grandmother, my beautiful wife Ruthie and also my legendary daughter Keila. This lady is exceedingly beautiful inside and out. It is an honor to greet her for Mother’s Day and recognize her publicly that her fruits are praise worthy. I also thank the Lord for her husband who is known by third parties as one who, “loves her like a Queen.”

When it comes to Hero worshipers, my nose can smell Jesus in my hero’s a mile away.

Love and be kind to your Mother and your wife, you will miss them terribly when they are gone ahead of you and you are left behind.

This was a follower by vocation but a leader by nature on duty today.

PS. A lifesaving prayer is to say, "YES JESUS."
