Gerry Gutierrez' Update
“Eureka!”
I found it. Finally, I believe in prayer. The love of my life died and left me praying and learning to talk to God. She left me working on “dependence” on God versus “independence” from God in prayer.
The most important question in praying is if what we’re about to pray is the will of God or not. God only answers that which is according to his will. In the universe of God, there is no room but for one will and that is the will of God.
The Lord’s Prayer is the Magna Carta of the believer, the Constitution of the Kingdom of God. The confession of Faith plus other things are concealed in the Lord's Prayer.
More than mere words, prayer is arriving at the point where every predisposition is in line with the will of God, which is total agreement with God. Prayer is an act of surrender to the will of God.
Business with God should not take too long. Entering into prayer with the right spirit means that a prayer can be as short as a few seconds or as long as you need or want based on your Faith, the level of trust, love and intimacy with God.
Praying is not a matter of saying, “Let us get over with prayer” nor is it “I have to pray,” but “I am so glad that I get to pray.” Having an audience and communion with the Most High God is a delight and a privilege. Intercessory prayer is designed to make us selfless in the exercise of love for others as well as ourselves. Should you want to be like Jesus? Then love first.
Prayer in no way is persuading a reluctant God to do the good he is neglecting to do for his children. Exercise great care to preserve the mind of Jesus as you go before “Our father in heaven.”
If my senses are right concerning the work of the spirit of Jesus today, then I dare say, “Men everywhere are going back to prayer in a submissive and determined way as never before or we all are doomed before God.
Yes Jesus. Yes Jesus, Yes Jesus.
