Gerry Gutierrez' Update
This letter is for Forceful men and women only.
Faith and prayer are the greatest good work of Responsibility.
“The works of God is to believe in him whom he has sent.”
Faith is the link between God and man. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Adam and Eve were happy while they believed in God in the Garden at the cool of the day. When a man hears God alone he is complete and loyal to the sound of the voice of him whom his ears heard first.
While in idleness of the suffocating noon day Sun; when vipers come out of their hidden place, a man wanders away from the God he loved, from the “garden of communion, from the play pen of God long before the cool of the day,” to hear other voices that came to compete with God’s voice. The man is in great peril to lose the gift of Faith that comes by hearing God alone.
Let me say it in other words, the greatest act of irresponsibility against God and self is the loss of Faith. Faith come from hearing and hearing comes from the word of God. The loss of faith come from hearing and this kind of hearing comes from voices “other” than from God.
Let me illustrate this point by using the example of a loving father whose aim in life is to raise his son in the fear and the love of God that he found for himself. All seems to go well until other voices come into the ears of the carefully groomed son now becoming a young man. It starts with a little questioning of small things. Small things as small seeds that tend to grow like a mustard seed and become a plant. A plant big enough to have branches where little birds come and built their nest and on the perch sing a song that the Father does not recognize as family songs, kingdom talk, or family talk.
What has happened? Competing voices have won the battle for the mind and the loss of Faith is as obvious as is the loss of the first love.
When in the name of education, information, instruction one saturates the mind with voices other than those voices above the cradle, at the dinner table or the family car; then there will be a competition that will not stop in the mind but go to the heart and also quench the Spirit.
The tragic result will be the loss of “our father’s fait.” To believe is to have faith as the gift of God and that is the greatest good work of responsibility.
It is time for me like Elijah to lead us in prayer every day, until we all see the hand of God. All I want to accomplish is to help everyone to say, “Yes Jesus” Unconditionally.
So, “Let us pray.”
This was your army of one on duty introducing to you my life long desire to repeat after Jesus the “Lord’s Prayer.”
Our contribution and good work of responsibility to Prayer will be to say, “Yes Jesus.”
Gerry Gutiérrez.
