“Jesus Said: “This, then, is how you should pray”

“Our Father who art in Heaven” # 7

 

Earthly fathers can only be in one small place at a time. 

 

But our Father in Heaven can be in Heaven and everywhere else at the same time. God dwells in heaven and He wants his children to be with Him. No one but Jesus can take you to the Father who is in heaven. He is the only way to the Father. He is the only one who knows the way to heaven. 

 

Anyone who wants to go home to be with our father must ask Jesus to take him home. There is no other one who is able to make that trip. The abyss of separation between heaven and earth is too large for anyone to go to heaven on their own strength. 

 

Jesus came down and brought the Kingdom of God near to us and planted it within our hearts and He is coming again to claim that which is his. 

 

There is one thing that even earthly fathers cannot do to their tender and helpless children and that is to leave them in a faraway place and live happily ever after in their luxurious mansions.

 

How much more our Father in Heaven who himself is love and has created us in order to love us. Therefore, let us be of good cheer and pray confidently:

 

“Our Father who art in Heaven” # 7
