Understanding Fatherhood by looking unto Jesus and his Father.

“Baby Jesus” and “Jesus the Boy.”

The day after Christmas the carefree newborn baby Jesus became a little boy with personal and indispensable needs of his own.

Our Father in Heaven set an example of fatherhood by providing for his son Jesus - Joseph and Mary, a mother and a father as babysitters.

God paid cash and it was before-hand to Mary and Joseph for service to be rendered.

Wise and wealthy men are in this world not for self-gratification but as obedient servants to recognize their blessing as from God in order to bless others according to the will of God.

True wisdom and wealth is to be rich in the things of God and have treasures in heaven where there is no corrosion. Wise men are men entrusted with power and authority. All power and authority are inventions of God the Lawgiver for the safety of the Law-abiding Citizens of his kingdom.

Just because Jesus was born in a manger does not mean he was poor, unclean and smelling. God took care of that by providing Gold, Incense and Myrrh.

Once out of the womb of Mary, the needs of Jesus were twice as much one as a human being and two as a divine being.

Humanly speaking Joseph and Mary covered Jesus’ daily needs. In his divine nature Angels would directly intervene to protect Jesus from his earthly enemies until the timing of God unfolded all things according to prophecy.

The point is that by natural or supernatural means it was ultimately God the Father who in detail raised his Son Jesus to set an example of how to care for a child.

In the same way God in love and wisdom created the “nuclear family,” invented authority and the institutions of law enforcement to preserve society in a relative order so as to facilitate the flourishing of special and common grace without which life on earth does not make sense.

It is proper to say at this point that any authority is better than no authority.

God is not the God of Chaos but order.

Just as eternity dwells in our hearts, so by common grace the image of God is part of our nature so that the most evil men still seek the transcendental even through the “unknown god.”

America and the world need more than anything else not new ideas or new experiments but the old and ancient boundaries which the word of God revealed.

The Gospel of repentance for the forgiveness of sin is badly needed first and foremost in the Household of God.

Our high crime is to have watered down the power of God entrusted to us by faith in prayer. A powerful and sovereign God will not have as innocent those who do not take Jesus at his word and make a weak use of God’s power entrusted to them by faith in prayer.

It is in vain to look elsewhere when the clear will of God has spoken as he has on matters of faith and prayer.

In other words, our need for winning the world, to change the world is not as important as securing those in the household of God, and in true unity focus on discipleship and not waste time in the togetherness of the congregation.

CAN TWO PEOPLE WALK TOGETHER UNLESS THEY AGREE”?

The answer is NO!

The same formula for two people should be applied for three or more. CAN THREE PEOPLE WALK TOGETHER UNLESS THEY AGREE? The answer is NO!

Let me describe for you the battlefield of the world where you and I find ourselves. Society as created by God is under attack. Authority as invented by God is under attack. The nuclear family as created by God is under attack.

Men as male and women as female only are under attack. The Education of our “cuties” is under attack. The sin of worry and envy among the adults and the sin of boredom and resentment among the young people are leading many to suicide.

Worse of all, there is no vision for the little kids so that contrary to scripture they are not mentored or disciple or “trained up in the way they should go, so that when they are old they will not depart from it.”

Many seem to wait until they grow up and finish College to start mentoring their children. As interesting as it is to talk to our college age children if you did not communicate and fellowship when they were a child, it will not happen now that they are a “BOOM”, that is Becoming One's Own Men.”

Jesus himself graduated from a baby to a boy and grew up in the grace of God in wisdom and stature and found grace in the eyes of God and men.

Look at Jesus a boy at twelve in the temple with the doctors of the Law.

You do not need a doctorate to speak with doctors.

What you really need is to Take Jesus at his word in a child-like manner.

Love your toddler please. Before you know it, they will become teenagers and be qualified as “Grown and gone.”

This was a toddler of Jesus on duty.
