Gerry Gutierrez' Update
Without a Theory of Revolution, there is no Practice of Revolution.
“The Gap”
“A man is not what he says he believes, but what he does he really believes.” If "faith" is your name, then "work" is your last name.
Jesus spoke well of the teaching by the teachers and even encouraged the crowds to obey their teaching so long as they taught the scriptures, but he strongly warned against what they did because they did not practice what they preached. (Matthew 23:1-5)
If philosophy is "to be," then psychology is "how you are." (Theory and Practice.) Your thoughts are for private consumption, but your behavior is for public consumption. If you are healthy, I will know it when there is no gap between what you say you believe and what you do!
By preaching a teacher ties up heavy loads and puts them on men’s shoulders. However, if they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them; then Jesus is not pleased with their service, because the followers of Jesus are in the business of making visible the invisible.
Mary was said to be pregnant having not known a man, and on Christmas Day the invisible became visible which proved her to be truthful. By your behavior you have the opportunity to be like “Mary” to a dying world around you. Make Jesus visible in your testimony.
The son of Mary is known as the “Seed of the woman” because no man had part in her conception, only God the Holy Spirit. Between what Mary said and what Mary produced there was no gap, and Jesus the acorn of Mary did not fall far from the Oak tree. In Jesus there was no gap between what he was said to be and who he really was.
Godliness is not having any cracks in your life or any cracks that have been filled with wax to cover them. That is where the word “sincere” comes from which means “without wax.”
We live in a dark world and the light of truth and love in my life is absolutely necessary to those around us. We might give the impression of speaking in circles but we have only one message and that is Jesus, who is in us, is the hope of glory as the light of the world.
For thousands of years the world was pregnant in darkness until Christmas night when Jesus the great light of God was born. In my country when a woman gives birth to a child the people go into the streets saying that Cidolfa just gave “light” to a child. I don’t know where the word birth comes from but I do know that the womb of a mother is dark, and to come out of the womb is to really come into the light of life. Every child is born with his eyes closed until he develops a night vision.
Let us agree together to give the light of Jesus to the world around us that needs Jesus more than any vaccine. Let the good works like “this little light of mine” shine in our lives to show Jesus.
Teach, preach, write and pray so that the ears of God and the world will feed more fully from your relationship with Jesus than from your words only. There is a gap between God and man that the Father has filled in with Jesus, thus reconciling us unto himself. He has entrusted to us the ministry of reconciliation as followers of Jesus, "as if God would be calling people through us to come and be reconciled with God".
Let everyone who believes in Jesus witness with a life, without a crack and without wax that Jesus is real, to the glory of God, for the benefit of many and for our own blessing. Let us pray as our best witness until there is no gap between what we say we believe and what we really do believe.
This was the man in the gap, on duty, holding his little light in one while playing his one string banjo with the other.

PS. This article is to celebrate my grandson Luke's 16th Birthday. Luke now is taller than I am. PS. As Someone said, “in all the world there is no one for me but Jesus, no one but Jesus.” Pray that there may not be any gap between what I say I believe and what I really believe.”
Breaking News from my missionary friends of Peru, Tom and Carolyn Pace . Alert expansion of quarantine restrictions location: Peru.
In Peru the restrictions again have been tightened: Absolutely no leaving your house on Sundays and no gatherings of any kind not even family. Children under 14 can go out for 30 minutes a day accompanied by one adult but only 500 yards from their house. Only one person per family can buy groceries, go to the pharmacy or to the bank, Seniors 65 and older should not be out at all unless it’s a medical emergency.
