Jesus and the Holy Spirit. He is risen!

 

My dear friends and family,

 

Because of the resurrection: “Either you gather with Jesus, or you are scattered without Jesus.”

 

Men together in the flesh invented the city to make a name for themselves and defy God foolishly like Nimrod in Babel.

God in his anger cursed Babel with a great confusion and Social Distance that included language and total separation.

 

The misuse of togetherness is a “congregation,” but the right use of unity is “communion.” Togetherness in Jesus at best gives birth to a “congregation” which is a corporation. Unity in Jesus gives birth to the “church” which is an organism.

 

The anger of God in Jesus’s time was with the Temple of God. It had become a place of business and not a house of prayer as it was meant to be in the mind of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

 

Before the fall, the daily communion with Jesus at the cool of the day was the only clearly known activity in the Garden.

 

The Sovereign God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Person of Jesus has ushered along with the Holy Spirit a New Era by the coming down of the Holy Spirit in Pentecost to remove the curse of Babel and the speaking in understandable languages that Social Distance was done away and communion was re-inaugurated.

 

Jesus paid on the cross the cost of our reconciliation. On the cross that God put an end to the social distance between God and man and man with his fellow man.

 

After impartially observing in the last few years what is going on in our society, I have noticed the reign of hate, lies, hypocrisy, cruelty with one another. That includes cruelty to unborn babies and the moral depravation of our country, it should not be a surprise that the cup of men’s iniquity is running over.

 

While in the past the Social Distance was confined the Leper to Colonies and the wearing of a bell as well as personally the leper warning of his presence to, “the healthy society” by speaking out-loud, “unclean, unclean.” Even at his death the body and clothing were burned to ashes.

 

After the coming of the Holy Spirit, people were healed from their diseases by men transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit like Paul, who was sought after with reverence to hear the healing power of his words about Jesus. Those who were not able to come to Paul were healed by his apron and handkerchief and their clothing was not burned but treasured. “God did extraordinary miracles through Paul. Handkerchiefs and apron that had touched him were taken to the sick and their illness were cured and the evil spirits left them.” Acts 19:11-12.

 

Corona Virus, sin and death do nothing but to scatter those without Jesus in an already alienated world. Health, Goodness and Life, do nothing but to gather in unity with Jesus.

 

What a better time than at Holy Week to remember and celebrate our resurrected Jesus and united shout out loud, “He is risen”, yes, “He is risen indeed.”

“He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today.”

“Faith is the victory that overcomes the world.”
