Call to God who hears and answers always.

“The crime against self and humanity

committed by believers in name only”.

It is a crime when God our Father in heaven becomes a “concept” or a “thought” in our mind. Then he immediately becomes only a “pie in the sky when you die.” No one can have a warm, a life given and life sustaining intimacy and fellowship with a concept than with a person.

Early last night I called a friend knowing he had his smart phone with caller ID next to him, he did not answer nor did he call back later.

In brutal contrast with some of “my friends,” my Father in heaven who is very busy always answers my calls as if he was sitting by the phone for my calls.

You might ask: “Are you hearing and seeing things Gerry?”

My answer is, “Not at all.” It is called intimacy with the Father in heaven as with a real “Papa in heaven” who instead of my father who died before I was born plays with me through life a “peek a boo” and “undercover boss“.

Sometimes he disguises himself as an old man with a white long beard who came to my little village to hold me in his hands when I was just at few days old and blessed me with words that my grandma reminded me though out life.

Sometimes God the Father comes to our lives as a loving grandmother or a wife or a daughter or a beautiful blonde godly friend “as the finger prints of God” to make it easy for me to get inspired and keep going forward, always forward behind Jesus.

Sometimes like for Elijah, Jesus and Paul he uses women to do his ministry.

This morning after a good nights rest my first conscious act was to greet my Father in heaven and immediately next comes the beautiful face of my friend who makes Jesus ever more so real.

The friendship of God is ever so real in that he does not need me as I do Him. He knows I cannot pay him back from the things he does for me, but he does not mind to increase generously my credit line with a smile. In fact he reminds me that even future expenditures have been already paid in full. “It is finished.”

The true wealth of a man is the number of his true friends who answer his phone calls and agree as they pray in oneness and are a constant inspiration to one another in courage and boldness as not to fail such company of faithful friends.

When God is only a concept of the mind, a man can manipulate and rationalized his way in and out of anything. But when God is a personal father in heaven whom one knows intimately, it is so hard to tolerate evil and let alone have peace. I know for myself to be a friend of God when I am against myself and when God’s honor and glory is not in full display in my life.

God answers “my phone calls” always even at midnight and after the doors of most are close and everyone is sleeping.

Knowing this personal and loving God who became one of us in the flesh to conquere our hearts as a lover conquers his bride in a garden leads me to says a word of advice, “Think not that God will have for innocent he who kills him as a person in order to embrace him as a lifeless concept.”

Call the Father in prayer and see how he will answer you in the name of Jesus.
