Gerry Gutierrez' Update

“For those who feel small and insignificant.”

“For those who feel small and insignificant.”

“The antidote is: Small obediences.”

When the snow melts in the Andes, though it later becomes the mighty Amazon River, its beginnings are rather very humble.

Drops of water trickle down into hardly seen arteries and veins to form streams and small rivers to later become the headwaters of the Amazon River and eventually the Amazon River itself ends in the mighty Atlantic Ocean.

There are parts of the Amazon River that are so wide that one cannot see the other side of the River. People from their boats have to taste the water in order to know whether they are already in the Ocean or still in the mightiest River of the world the “Amazon.”

Let us supposed for a moment for the sake of an argument that I am a “Biographer” of the first drop of water from the melting snows of the Andes of Peru the birthplace of the Amazon. To find the same drop in the Atlantic Ocean will lead me to the conclusion that the largest is made out of the union of the small and many.

In the same way the kingdom of God is the result of small obediences of the insignificant few that believe with the faith of a small size seed like that of a mustard seed. By just being what they are in God’s hand they become strong branches where their children and their children’s children will nest, feed and perch as the children of Abraham to safely dwell in the Covenant Tent with God. Of such a number was the Inca Princess Cidolfina Restaure Irala de Santillana, my Grandmother from my mother’s side.

Apart from our Lord Jesus I trace any good in me to my grandma “Cidolfa” and Ruthie, and those who by believing in me have encouraged me to live and travel life like that little drop of water of the melting snow of my hometown of Huanta.

If you are wondering the “why” of this article let me tell you. The super and impressive celebration of the Anniversary Parade in Beijing China a few days ago was designed to make the rest of the world feel like grasshoppers while they feel like threatening giants ready to eat us up.

This has worked up in me the Caleb and Joshua Spirit who said, “we will eat them up.” How could we do that? By waking up the sleeping giants in every believer’s home. I aim to wake up the house wives of the kingdom of God to see themselves as I see my grandmother “Cidolfa.” Her love for me made visible the love of God which made it easy for me to believe and surrender and march to God’s drumbeat.

In other words, the greatest army ever assembled on earth is not the Chinese Army but the children and grandchildren of godly women like my grandma, your mother and grandmother, or any other women with vision who is a “Mother Figure” to those marching and parading in the Army of the Lord Jesus.

This was Food for Thought for the humble, meek and lowly in heart although insignificant is melting for Jesus without any idea if her little drop like a small mustard seed will one day arrive to the Might Oceans or become a strong branch where many will nest, feed and perch to the glory of God.

Need I not to say but I will say it anyway, these thoughts are not wishful thinking but truths that I believe with all my heart.

Ours is an army of volunteers persuaded personally by the beauty of Jesus and not by an army imposed and gathered together under duress.
Our is the one and only Ancient Army of believers who see life on earth not as the goal of their existence, but see life as, “to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
Ours is an invincible Army and the Gates of Hell will never prevail. Hail Jesus and his Army!!
