Gerry Gutierrez' Update

Halloween message for Adults as "Candy tax."

Dear Friends, let us Grow old together to childlikeness.

Everyone grows to old age because that is easy and part of the natural process of the flesh. The challenge is to grow into childlikeness and which is a supernatural process that can only be done in the person of the Holy Spirit.

Let us listen to the words of Jesus,

“People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuke them. But Jesus called the little children to himself and said, “let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belong to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Luke 18:16,17.

There is a condition set to enter heaven by him who called himself as the WAY to the Father and is also known as the DOOR to heaven, that is Jesus.

In order to understand this passage and to whom the kingdom of God belongs the key words to unlocks it are, “Like little children,” and “Such as these.”

Jesus is using the little children as an example to be desired if any adult wants to enter the kingdom of God.

By the way, the destiny of the unborn, the aborted, the still born the little babies, the toddlers, “are secure as the occupants of the kingdom of God”, according to the words of Jesus that says, “Theirs’ is the kingdom of God.”

Notice that even these little ones or “landlords” of the kingdom of God do not earn their status as “such” due to anything they have done, but they are unconsciously and without consultation brought by godly parents to Jesus to be touched and be “blessed”

These little children are brought to Jesus much in the same way as little children are brought to church today by their parents.  Apparently, these little ones come and leave in the same way as they came, “but by the touch of Jesus.”

In reality they leave with the blessing of God due to the faith of their parents and the sovereign call of God who loves little children and others, “such as these who are like little children.”

Because of the sovereignty of God, election, call, predestination and choice, these little ones and those who are, “Such as these or like little children,” pass to center stage as the subjects of Jesus’ message. Adults are to be, “like these little children” or “such as these,” if they ever want to enter the Kingdom of God. Salvation is not of the wise and understanding but of little children and of those who are wise enough to understand without malice the words of Jesus and respond submissively “like” and “Such as a little child.”

At the end of it all, salvation is not of a child nor of the adult but of the sovereign God from beginning to end and every step of the way.

Let the little children know that be even the hindrance and rebuke of religious adults will not keep them from the call of God and his will to prevail. Babies and adults are equally at the mercies of God in salvation, one by being a child and the other for wanting to be, ‟Like little children or such as little kids.” Remember that our Lord has not called us to “childishness” but childlikeness.

The point of this message is that salvation is within reach, it is doable, and the cookie of jar salvation is marvelously place by grace in the lower shelves, within the reach of the little ones, less by claiming to the upper shelves they can fall and hurt.

In fact, if the tall, high and mighty want to enter the Kingdom of God, they must humble themselves and bend over to childlikeness as Nicodemus looking left and right entered where Jesus is and eat from the cookie jar of grace, like a little kids.

This letter is dedicated to my little friends who came to see me on Halloween night and relieve me from over four hundreds pieces of chocolates and took the picture of baby boy Jesus called “Destiny” from my hands.

This was “Cookie monster,” the babysitter of Jesus on duty.
