Gerry Gutierrez' Update
An open
letter to my fellowship from Me, myself an I. "A
blessing." “God’s
little boy.” In memory of those
little ones that survived abortion, infanticide, child abuse, neglect and
unfriendly lives, I write this letter. In honor of a
sovereign God who has not given up with men by providing in love and compassion
and preserving little children against all adds, because they are the Land
Lords of heaven, as Jesus said of them: “For theirs is the Kingdom of God.” I rise to bless children in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit every covenant child along
with Simeon and “Chirimachu” (The man who
bless me in his arms when I was just a baby boy). In genuine love and
affection as to seek protection from invisible forces I bless them by building
an invisible fence around and pray as to reinforce it until death do us part. I believe in blessing and do bless because I have been richly blessed throughout
life, with seven children. Fifteen grandchildren and 22 adopted orphans and
their additional 57 children. Blessed is the parent who seeks the blessings from God for his child. As
parents we will not be around for too long on this earth and we need to secure
the blessings of God for our children so the can live in peace and security and
as depart in peace leaving our children under care. Apart from Jesus I have secured the blessing of my children with
the blessing of a godly man I know and that is their father. There are
many godly men as my children’s Father, but I do not know if they love my
children as much as the Father of my children do. I know the Father of my
children as one whom the Lord got hold of him by bringing him out of the slime
pit of violence, darkness and unbelief and God has given him revelations and
visions in unusual intimacy. I am proud of the Father of my children. But about myself I
am only proud of my weaknesses. I know myself and I know the Father of my
children well and I speak the truth as a witness of this two men. I have sought to make friends among you my peers in this Church
and was able to find three other “porcupines” and their beautiful wives in, Bob
DeMarco, Mike Connors and Chad Dukes. I am
thankful to the Lord for these three men that to me they are like Peter, James
and John the best friends of Jesus. Each of these three men have four children each and with their
permission I have sought to love and disciple them the best I know how by just
loving them and being with them as Jesus choose twelve to be with them. I
pray for Weston, Oliver, Gwendolyn and Franklin DeMarco
regularly and Nathan, Clay, Timothy and Ana Clare Connors in the same way I
pray for Daniel, Elizabeth, Hanna and Ezekiel Dukes. I shall continue to pray for them the rest of my life because they
are covenant children and I had the privilege to bless them in the name of the
Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I am grateful to their parents for
trusting me enough to love them. There is no hidden agenda in my heart for
them other that the will of God for their lives. Once upon a time there was a young man who found himself totally
lost in the Jungles of Peru. In
his desperation he found information about me and wrote me an email asking if
he could come and stay with me until he got his passport and money from his
parents for a plane ticket back to the USA. We had the privilege to have
him in our house and led him to the Lord and nourish him back to health and
send him with our blessing back to his home. Unbeknownst to me the father of this man once helped my oldest Son
in his project to go as missionary to Cusco Peru. Neither of us knew each
other nor knew that one was helping the son of the other until after the facts
were consummated. I love those who love my “little boy” and that man also
loved me because I loved “his little boy.” I abide under the principle of, “Putting the head of a little boy
in the hope of touching the father’s heart.” Or as the saying goes: “All I have in life is time and love and how I spend my time and
love is how I spend myself and my life.” “God loves those who love his little boy.” For God
“so” loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whosoever believe
in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” But this does not
mean that God loved the “world” more that “his own little boy”. That which is worth in man is the image of God and the breath of
God blown into his nostrils. It is the life of God in Jesus within us that
is the hope of glory. In a way, God is saving and redeeming his life in
us, which is to his glory and honor and our praise and adoration. Think not for a moment that God could love you more that he loves
Jesus. In all fairness I should grant the fact that the love of God for us
is also his love for Jesus due to the fact that Jesus is the one head on the
one body of which we are but member in oneness with Jesus. Our worth before God is our “membership” in Jesus. It would also be healthy for us to remember that though we are
members of his one body, where the head is the only indispensable part of the
body. A man can live blind, mute and deaf. A man cannot live without the head. “Jesus is the head of the church his body.” Jesus alone is indispensable and preeminent for the church, for
life and for existence as a whole. Before I get side tracked by foreign
ideas, let me go back to God’s Little Boy, Jesus. Jesus was born from a single Mother suspected of being pregnant
with an unplanned child and almost fatherless before birth and when he arrived
into the world there was no room in the Inn for him. Jesus was welcomed by a choir of Angels, visited by
the humble shepherds and sought by wise men from the East and
deeply hated by a wicked politician named Herod who sought to kill him by
killing the innocent little boys of his time.
I believe in blessing and I am an ordained minister of the PCA of
the Missouri Presbytery in good standing. Should the Lord prompt you to seek a
blessing for your child, I am a phone call away and I will consider it an honor
to pray for your little one in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus the head of every believer, I, myself, and
me, bless you and your little ones as “Simeon” the blessed bless Jesus. Gerry Gutierrez.
