Gerry Gutierrez' Update
“SHORT
AND SWEET.” “To fear or not to fear.” The only way to know whether what you know is wisdom or not, it is
when such wisdom has passed the fine filter or Criteria of Truth that is known as, “THE FEAR OF THE LORD,” the beginning of wisdom.
The Fear of the Lord is not just a sentence in scripture to take it or leave it
at our discretion, it is there to safely guard our mind, soul, strength and
heart and the common good of the body.
More than ever before our world needs a shower storm of the “FEAR OF THE LORD”
that will cause us to go all the way under the wings and the shadows of the
most High for refuge, safety and security. Our World is under attack to the very foundations of the Central
Nervous System of that which keeps our society together.
The liberals seem to be
determined to exercise their power to, “the one line item veto” by getting rid
of the fear of the Lord out of their lives. If they succeed in this
attempt, there will be no reason to fear man, for he who does not fear God has
no reason to fear the laws of man. It is proper and right to “Live under
the fear of God,” for it is the only way to temper men’s behavior with a built
in device in man’s heart for self- government. My grandma use to repeat to my ears the words, “Live life as one
who will one day died and appear before God.” That was my grandmas’ version of
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,” and self-government
principle. As much as today’s permissive society of Benjamin Spock might
object this teaching as obsolete, I for one raise in honor to my Grandma and
Salomon the wise to gently remind our generation not only, “To fear the
Lord but to also shun evil.” Fear God and do not trust any wisdom you have acquired without the
fear of the Lord. Consider it as rubbish whatever you have learned in the
dark. The greatest difficulty of a saint in his journey of Sanctification is to
“UNLEARN” the things learned apart from the fear of the Lord. Focus in the mind
of God revealed in Jesus. This has been “Food for Thought.” “FEAR”.
PS. My son Nathaniel says, “Hey dad, why don’t you write like
Oswald Chambers and Charles Spurgeon, “Short and Sweet meditations?” Photos are of Benjie and my grandchildren.
