"Just do it."

“WITNESSING.

“Jonah was held in contempt, because he refused to be a witness.”

Jonah prayed to the Lord, “Isn’t this what I said, Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God; slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. Now, Lord, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live”

A witness is what you are and to testify is what you do.

Jonah must have known what today some use as an argument to not to testify as witnesses of Jesus, “that the elect are the only ones that are saved and the saved are only the elect,” “Why should I witness knowing that whether I witness or not, the elect are the only ones that will be saved?” It is not for you to know the answer to that foolish question. Just do it and obey before you deprive yourself of the only divine opportunity to be like God to people by being the mouthpiece of God and his reaching arms

If I am a member of the body of Jesus like my arm, I do not need to know the reasons why I do what I do because the thinking belongs to the head that is Jesus and the doing is of the members of his body.

Since my stroke I know a thing or two about the disconnection between body members and head. Believe me, you do not want to be disconnected from the head. Abide in Jesus and let him think for you and do your part even if it does not make sense to you at the present time.

It is said that Calvinists are held in contempt by the judge in the court because “they refuse to witness.” We do not testify in order to be witnesses, but we are witnesses and therefore we cannot but testify. To be held in contempt by refusing to testify is using theology to neglect duty. God will not have for innocent him who has ears to hear and does not hear and speak from what he has heard.

The argument of Jonah that, “ I knew you were a compassionate God who relents from sending calamity and that is why I did not go to Nineveh to testify.” Is not valid before a sovereign God. This line of reasoning did not work for Jonah neither did it work for the servant of the parable of the talents that received one talent and did not use that talent saying,

Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here, you have what is yours.”

Those arguments did not work for those men in the past and it will not work for anyone in the present that refuses to testify. This is just a gentle reminder to not to be found in contempt by God for refusing to testify.” Just do it!! Jesus wants you to be his witness. Just be in the spirit of collaboration. Though salvation is of the Lord alone, let God do it through you.

In a child like manner seek not to understand but just accept your instructions from God and pray until you love to say YES to Jesus always. YES to the savior. YES .

If prayer is agreement with the will of God in Jesus, what keeps you from saying “YES” to Jesus, which is the only prayer worth God’s ears? I am going to rehab every other day to teach again my left leg and left arm to say YES to my head. To abide in Jesus is to say YES and be able to do all things in agreement with God without the will of my own.

The Last Day is also known as Our Day in the Court, you would not want to be found in contempt in the court of God. “Just do it” now. Testify because you are a witness of Jesus and he is building a case against those who did not learn to obey him and his words.

Pray and get to know God in the oneness of Jesus with God and get to know your wealth that is there in the intimacy with God. Do not make out of prayer a constant asking of things for you from God. Make out of Prayer the asking of Jesus in you as the hope of glory. Do not ask a portion of the mountains or the valleys as your reward. Ask God himself to be your portion, your reward. That is to seek first the King and the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

PS. This picture was taken at the Hospital last December. Ever since I am "Just doing it" and hope to trow away even my walker and cane. I still walk too slow and like Robot Cop.
