Gerry Gutierrez' Update
A universal need at this side of Heaven. ‟Personal Convictions.” It is not what I used to be as a young man or even as an adult
that speaks louder of the kind of spirit that governs my life, but the ruling
passion at old age at the time of death that counts. If you were ever a fraud, you cannot afford to be a fraud at old
age and closer to death. The words of a dying man are few and far in between, but you can
bank on them. As gold and honey are precious and sweet the words of one
who is about to die are important. The following intercessory Prayer of
Jesus on the cross, irresistibly conquered my heart: “ Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Those were the words that the Lord used as if through a crack, his
light entered my mind and transformed me totally that I am beside myself that I
can hardly recognize myself in comparison of what I use to be, what I use to do
and what I use to think. Nothing like forgiveness to conquer the hearts of
those who have caused you pain. There is a hand full of gratuitous rejecters that passionately
hate me without valid reason while there is no reason valid enough to hate. “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” I have nothing to give you but that which I have freely received
and freely offer you. I am of Jesus and if you are of Jesus and still hate
me, you know not what you do. In a way my prayers are prayers
for myself because you belong to me as my right hand belongs to my left and
both belongs to Jesus the head of the body. Doubt not my prayers of forgiveness because it is prayer for the
consumption of God and in the name of Jesus for God’s glory first and above all
and secondly for my own blessing and for you benefit. Let us do each other a favor by abiding in the Love, Grace, and
Peace of God that comes as a result of forgiveness and reconciliation in
Jesus. Since we have nothing but the present time to do something, it is
my prayer that you do not wait until old age or even deathbed to forgive and be
forgiven. We have no assurance that tomorrow will arrive for us or not. This was a loving and gentle reminder and an invitation to do your
outmost to get thing straight as soon as you can. Do not let pride and
stubbornness give a foothold to the evil one. Let us pray: “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from
evil.” Amen. Gerry Gutierrez.
