“VICTORY.”

 

What is Victory to swallow death? Is Victory a bigger worm that swallows death as a smaller worm?

 

Neither Victory nor Death exists but as concepts to understand the VICTOR OF GOD. “Jesus the Lord.” He IS a person and his enemy is also our enemy and the enemy of God and that is Satan the murderer and the father of lies.

 

Let us put aside all concepts and focus on the person of Jesus the Victor of God. “It is to the Victor the spoils.”

 

What is Victory without the Victor?

What is in the promised land without rest and peace?

RIP is written on every tombstone and that because of Jesus the Victor of God. The kingdom of God is a kingdom of rest and peace. Jesus is the prince of peace. Jesus is the mighty God. Jesus is the everlasting Father. Jesus is the counselor of God. 

 

If Jesus is not preeminent in his church then extinction is not only a possibility but also a certainty. If God is in the church but Jesus is absent, neither God nor Jesus is a reality in that church.

 

God is invisible, God is spirit, and no one has ever seen God or can see God. The only way to see God is when we contemplate Jesus the Emanuel of God, which is God with us. Jesus is God in the flesh. Jesus is God in human form for our sake.

 

Some experts say that, “The church is one generation away from extinction.” To know God is intimacy with God. While there is intimacy with God in Jesus, God will never be without a witness.

 

Life is an exodus kind of a journey to heaven. Crossing the river of death is mandatory for all who die before the return of Jesus.

Like the crossing of the Jordan into the promise land was unavoidable for God’s people.

Crossing into the promise land without Moses but under the leadership of Joshua was the prototype of Jesus and the Holy Spirit provided by God to lead, to conquer, to comfort, to help, to counsel, to remind, to convict, to encourage and to teach.

 

Just like Adam was not good being alone that God provided Eve for Adam. So a husband without a wife is helpless and struggling to only survive but not fully alive. In the same way a believer will not make it without the help of the Holy Spirit.

 

When the Lord Jesus died he was no longer with his people. So God provided the Holy Spirit who would not leave or forsake. Therefore you can say confidently, “The Lord is my helper I will not fear what man can do to me.”

 

Don’t be discouraged the Lord is with you. To have and to know THE VICTOR OF GOD in Jesus in the intimacy of prayer in the garden at the cool of the day is heaven on earth and with plenty more to come forever.
