Gerry Gutierrez' Update
I beg you to
please read this letter to the end. “OUR
RUTHIE.”
“I raise to honor
Ruthie, the greatest woman next to Jesus in memory of the 7th year
anniversary of her going home with Jesus.”
I also stand up
to honor Ruthie, whom I met in 1970. That is 49 years ago. Seven times
seven years have passed since I became a friend of Ruthie and Hugh thanks to Pankico. I came to know
Jesus as my savior and Lord the 1st of August of 1971. I married Ruthie in
1974. Ruthie died in 2012 seven years ago after battling cancer for 21
years.
Jesus, Ruthie, my
grandma, and Pankico would have liked me to do what I
am about to do. Would you pray with me for this please? My Jesus loved
the Father. I led grandpa to
Jesus at age 75, thus a man who led me to Communism became a lover of Jesus
before he died.
Just as my son
stood up to honor “Pankico” whom I loved and wanted
to have a son like Pankico, the lord granted me such
a son by giving me Nathaniel. In the same way
as Nathaniel I also raise before you, my family and friends, to say the
shortest message and testimony I have ever written to you.
Ruthie was a
“little stone” that God cast into the middle of our quiet pond that even this
letter is the ripple effect of a life in the hands of God in Jesus. Enclosed you will
find a picture of Ruthie the day I met her. You will also notice her serene
beautiful blue eyes with straight eye brows “al natural” conquering me in the
spot so that I had not a not chance but to fall in love at first sight. The
wisest choice I ever made next to following Jesus. Hip, hip hurray
for Ruthie my greatest evangelist, wife, and mother that birthed Keila, my legendary daughter and hero that loved Jesus unto
death. Pankico lived long enough to hold Keila in his hands before he died. My mentors and
heroes are gone, I am feeling lonely but I am not alone “I have Jesus in my
heart.” Ruthie taught Pankico to say; “ I have Jesus in my Heart.” Gerry Gutierrez
