Gerry Gutierrez' Update
Getting ready to
go to Peru in ten days.
In honor and memory of Astronaut James
Irwin my friend who stood up for Jesus with me in Chile S.A. Introduction: Astronaut James Erwin went to
the Mood in Apollo Fifteen. Later he came down to Chile to help me push the
“Revolution of Jesus”. All the media
without exception covered us as we reach out to Chile with the First National
Prayer Breakfast in 1986 reaching an estimate audience of over eight million
people by Radio, TV and News Papers and magazines. Later in Peru
with the help of the former Vice President Dan Quayle of the USA I tried to
advance the “Revolution of Jesus” by helping the Poorest of the poor. National
TV and Radio and the Media covered the event in general. I ended up informally
adopting 22 Orphans and took care of them for over twenty
five years in our house and now I am the “informal” grandfather of over
fifty of their kids. While in
Washington DC I had many opportunities to push The revolution of Jesus by
helping with the National Prayer Breakfast since President Ronald Regan and
using my corporation formed by many VIP of the political World in the White
House, the US Senate, the House of Representatives the Pentagon and State
Department. I had interviews on TV for World News and traveled around the world
trying to ignite the “Revolution of Jesus based in the small core groups.
My focus is on
“Prayer” more than praying itself. This has helped me to survive the past seven
years since the death of Ruthie. I am making a complete fool of myself. Even my
loved ones see some of my latest attempts to partner with someone in the west
coast to win the world as “hubris”. I thought I was
in position of advantage with my stroke to focus without the restlessness of a
healthy life full of choices but I found a “brick wall” of resistance that has
cost me more that anything in my life including the pain of loosing Ruthie and Keila. Losing loved ones
to death is one thing but losing love ones to rejection is more painful because
it does not fall in the category of “acts of God”. The following
letter is another attempt to push the “Revolution of Jesus” and challenge all
that refuse to be content with Christendom as it is in our present time and as
in search of vision to change the world. Since Jesus loved
Jacob but hated Esau because Jacob needed the Lord. I am going to
Peru the First of August, my 49 birthday in the Lord Jesus, to celebrate my year
of Jubilee having daily lunches with “generic” no name brand little kids from
the poorest of the poor in groups of twelve from five different areas of the
country side. My message to
them will be the same as the Father’s: “That Jesus is the invisible God made
flesh beloved of God to whom we must listen.” We will pray the Lord’s Prayer
with the intention to understand prayer more than just praying.
Gerry Gutierrez True believers are like the fellowship of
the “Pregnant.”
Luke followed the
example of Jesus and his revolutionary principal that, “where two or three are
gathered together in his name, there was Jesus in their midst,” like he was
with Peter, James and John. Luke was, “the
greatest visionary and mentor second only to Jesus” and he writes about Jesus
his favorite subject. His writings are focused in three disciples and three
disciples only. Luke wrote two
books with three disciples in mind. One was Theophilus
to whom Luke dedicated the two books, Paul was the second and “You” and “Me”
were the third person and all those individuals who would read his writings in
the future“ while and as long as the grass grows.” The secret of
Doctor Luke is that though he was not one of the twelve disciples, he was so
focused on Jesus and like Jesus he did not seek to change the world by aiming
to the multitudes. Luke believed in changing the world one individual at the
time as did Jesus who loved John his best friend, Peter and James. If you love one
person the right way, it is likely you will convince another person that you
can love a second and a third person the same way. “The Revolution
of Jesus” is amazingly within reach to anyone who believes in a childlike
manner and imitates Jesus. The preponderance
of the evidences and the weight and power of the example of Jesus is indeed overwhelming
that, if you cannot love one person and agree to walk united with one person,
you are less likely to agree and walk united with two or three and let alone
twelve or more. If a neutron, an
electron and a proton do not make an atom, you will agree that where there is
no atom you can’t make a molecule or a particle, a rock, a mountain or a
planet, let alone the universe. Jesus was not impressed with crowds as
much as with individuals. The life and
example of Jesus teaches us to forget the forest and aim to one “tree” at a
time, then to a second “tree” and a third because his presence is guaranteed in
the agreement and oneness of the few and not in the togetherness of the many. We must seek to
honor the prayer of Jesus in John seventeen “Father, that they might be one as
you and I are one.” That is the true definition of church, “oneness and unity
in Jesus with the Father.” Any other relationship is only togetherness at best. Jesus died for
unity and not for skin-deep togetherness. Even in the
secular history, there is power in the agreement of two or three men walking
together like, Carl Marx, and Frederick Engels in Germany, Lenin and Stalin in
Russia, Mao Tse Tung, Lin Piao
and Chou En-lai in China, Hitler, Himmler and Goering
in Germany, Ronald Regan, Lyn Nofziger and Edwin
Meese in the USA. There is power in
the agreement of the few rather than in the togetherness of the many. Look at
the International Fellowship of Washington DC. Doug Coe, Roy Cook and Fred
Hines. One last look at Billy Graham, Cliff Barrows, and George Beverley Shea
might help you to see the point. In fact look at your local pastor and his
years in ministry were only as successful as the initial core group remained
together in agreement. Even the mafia
knows the secret and power of the agreement of the few but the followers of
Jesus who invented and commands us to walk in agreement with his blessed
presence in our midst do not practice it; yet we whine and groan for the lack
of power in our ministry. We have emasculated ourselves of power and are guilty
of making weak use of the power God has entrusted to us in the name of Jesus. Read Luke 1:39 to
45. These girls were
“Pro-choice” because they chose to believe God and they were blessed beyond any
women because of their choice of life by belief in joyful trust of God.
This is actually
the visit of Jesus to his cousin John to say “Hi John” and John would have
liked to say “Hi Jesus” but he could not, (and this is me and not the Lord)
because John as the son of Zachariah is an Acorn that did not fall far from the
Oak three and as son of a mute man temporarily silence by God, John also could
not answer to Jesus by the mouth of her mother Elizabeth but that did not keep
him from leaping with joy at the voice of Jesus through Mary.) In the same way
as these two pregnant girls and their two boys chose to gather together in
obedience to God. So real followers of Jesus are those pregnant of Jesus in
their hearts and are dying to make Jesus visible trough their lives In Word and
Deed ministry as the Great Doctor Luke did by just focusing as the Lord Jesus
did in the few rather the many. The many is only
result of the few. The other way around is not what Jesus brought into the
world. The heart of our
meditation today is that the “Revolution of Jesus” is within reach not only to
the MVP of God’s kingdom but also for everyone including not only housewives
but pregnant old women and single parents like Elizabeth and “Virgin” Mary and
you beloved my sister. Happy
deliveries my friends.
Focus on the few and the many will follow as normal as the tail follows the
head. It is summer and
I will refrain of using this passage to speculate about the first Vacation
Bible School of history of these two girls and their two boys having such a
good time getting together for several months. But I will not
resist the temptation to mention that Jesus and John were able to hear and
leaped with joy, which is what is going on all over our country in the Summer
Camps among the pregnant with Jesus.
