Gerry Gutierrez' Update
“God’s
commands are the same for us all.” “God’s commands are the same for us all.” The human response is
not the same. We respond to the voice of God as if we have heard different
things. To a repeated offender he treats as if he was a first time
offender with all the benefit of the doubt and the leniency of the law in his
favor because God imposes over himself the laws of mercy whereby he keeps no
record of wrong. To God we all are first time offender while to the watching
world who know not the laws of mercy we are nothing but dirt bags worthless
creatures who keep falling in the same rock at broad daylight again and again proving
to be unworthy of such love and great salvation. There are things I know from scripture but are not truly mine
until I see Jesus in me as forgiven and loving and working mercy through me, in
me and in spite of me for his own glory. It sure is good to know what it means,
“I am not my own, I belong to Jesus, I no longer live but Jesus In me the hope
of glory.” What I write is basically for myself and if I send them to you is
in the conviction that you should not be that much different from me. Even if
you do not admit to be different or admit to be one, we all are pilgrims in
progress in urgent need of progress with the only difference that we are in
different wave length or assigned altitudes as these
plane and those around me are traveling in the same direction. The wheel has already been discovered, there is no room for
originalities, we are basically the same ordinary
human beings full of ourselves and with such a lack of imagination that even
our offenses to God are so predictably common to all flesh. God should find our
sins so offensive and ridiculous deserving double punishment for reason of
meanest and common. Instead, God looks at our sins in long suffering mode with
great compassion and looking at them understandingly as the fall of Adam and
not in accumulative evil manner saying, “Just like your fathers, I have seen it
before and many times over.” “Yes,
the Acorn does not fall far from the Oak three.” “A chip of the old block.” Against the same commandments we sin differently in different generations,
to the same treatment and the same process and rehab. “I the Lord change not
sons of Jacob, that is why you are not consumed.” “Praise the God of Gods for
his mercy endures for ever.” This is Gerry Gutierrez the undeserving father of a little legend
and lover of Jesus of the statue of Blandina of old
