Gerry Gutierrez' Update

Food for Sunday in case you are not fed from the Pulpit.

“Blessed eyes.”

 What good are the eyes if you cannot see with them?

Jesus who said, “In secret have I done nothing,” speaks openly about the secrets things of God that belongs to God only but the Son reveals it to the child like in heart and to their children and their children’s children so they might walk in the light of what their blessed eyes have seen and their ears have heard.

With contrite heart but hopeful predisposition I made echo of the words of Jesus spoken about the secret things of God two thousand years ago in Matthew 13:10 to 17.

10The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”

11He replied, Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12Whoever has will be given more, and they will have in abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13This is why I speak to them in parables:

“Though seeing, they do not see;

Though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

14In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:

“ ‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;

you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.

15For this people’s heart has become calloused;

they hardly hear with their ears,

and they have closed their eyes.

Otherwise they might see with their eyes,

hear with their ears,

understand with their hearts

and turn, and I would heal them.’ a

16But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it

“Hide and go seek is not a game but a sober reality.”
The secrets of the kingdom of God is revealed to some and hidden from others.

Let us order our thoughts. Jesus said, “No one knows the Son but the Father and no one knows the Father except the Son and whosoever the Son chooses to reveal.”

It seems to me that what we know of God the Son is only possible if God the Father reveals Him to us in the same way the only way to know God the Father is if God the Son chooses to reveal him.
God is revealed clearly on Christmas and Easter to the blessed eye.

Heaven came down in glory in light on midnight and heaven was lift up in glory back to heaven in Easter by Resurrection and Ascension.

Let us pray that we might be able to see with our own blessed eyes that which many in the Old Testament longed to see and did not see, longed to hear and did not hear it.

As my son Nathaniel reminds me every chance he has that. “We live in the era of Grace and not in the era of longing for grace as if Jesus did not come to revealed the Secrets of the kingdom of God”.

In the parable of the sower, the farmer went out to sow, ”HIS SEED”.
As a witness of Jesus I am an assistant farmer who goes out to sow (my seed) “MY TESTIMONY” of how I have come to be pregnant with the seed of Jesus planted in my heart.

My letters are my testimony of how my blessed eyes have come to see the secrets of kingdom of God. My messages to my friends are no different than what I write to my children that in reality I write to myself. Testifying as a witness of Jesus starts with me and only that which I am willing to drink I can freely share with others.
In the circle of my friends we treasure “self government.”

By the grace given to me by our generous, compassionate and loving God I am confident that by grace and through faith I will at death enter into heaven as gain because for me to live is Jesus.

I am not ashamed of the seed of “God the sower” that was planted in my heart and my letters are the fruit of that divine seed.

I declare to be nearer to death as never been before but as a wounded witness of Jesus I still want to testify with what is left of me that, “To live is Jesus and to die is gain”. My personal two cents worth of testimony is, “I have the grace and peace of our Lord who has removed fear from my heart and has given me assurance to where I am going and the amazing certainty that I will arrive there because of Jesus my savior and Lord.”

This was “another small voice that cries in the wilderness of our generation” to prepare the way of the Lord!
