Jesus the "Familyless?"

“Motherless.”
Matthew 12: 46 to 50.

“No one is motherless but by choice.”

Jesus’ Mother and Brothers

46While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. 47Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.”

48He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?”49Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers.50For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.

Jesus seems to say to those who demand to speak to him that, “it is to listen and do the will of God that for which men were created.”

Life is Prayer and the most important element of prayer is not speaking to God in Jesus or in the name of Jesus but to listen to God in Jesus and by so doing learn to do the will of God.

Religious “prayers” will lead men to shout to God as if he were sleeping to wake him up to hear them and do their will.

When these gimmicks do not work with God, men seek to BOOM on their own, that is Becoming Ones Own Man. BOOM. When this BOOM does not work for men, they gather together those likeminded and pull rank over others to invent a city around them with the intention to build a name for themselves and a tower on the basis of proximity to God and not intimacy with God by listening to Jesus.

Searching for God in order to use God will end up making people followers of Nimrod who built a tower in Babel only to shake his fist to God for not listening to the mighty “togetherness” of Nimrod.

If the final goal of togetherness is to get God’s attention to do men’s will they will end up loosing even the proximity of God by common grace and will be left “Bubbling” and confused with no one to listen their “Bubbling”. Our sovereign God cannot be mocked.

Never aspire to be the “Father” of anyone including your own children on earth because there is only one Father of all and he is in heaven.
Instead teach them to Pray that which you have learned by listening to Jesus who said, “This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven. Holy be your name.”

Praying right is only possible by first listening to God in Jesus and doing the will of God. Any other way of “praying” is just “bubbling” that will never be heard no matter who you are or how close you think you are to God in the flesh or in proximity.

Beware of Babel and “bobbling” it only leads at the end to shake your fist at God in frustration at the lack of answers to “bobbling” on the outside door or at the tower of “proximity” or “togetherness.

Inside the garden at the foot of Jesus in the cool of the day is where I want to be found away from fruitless religiosity. What Religion works within the heart of men is the “Right of entitlement” of the attention of God outside the garden and outside the gates of heaven while Jesus is in the playpen with his true family of believers.

I never knew my father because he died before I was born. I never lived with my mother because she was too young to stay home.
I was raised by my grandparents who taught me the Fear of the Lord garnished with a Good Friday Morning spanking at four AM to purge my sins on Holy Week and learn to help Jesus to carry for my sins.

My sister Adela and I would hear both grandparents speaking a little sermon from their heart explaining why we are to receive the “board of education in the seat of learning.”

They did not want us to grow up to embarrass them and dishonor God with bad behavior. Submissively and for our own good we kneeled down on our knees to receive three blows of a whip that had a convenient handle, two feet long that end in three separate whips. This blessed discipline was imparted with the unforgettable words.
In the name of the Father. Pow # 1, in the gluteus Maximus!
In the name of the Son. Pow # 2 in the same place!!”
In the name of the Holy Spirit. Pow # 3 on the same target!!!”

What a relief that my grandparents were Catholic and believed in the Trinity, because if they were polytheist pagans they would have not stop after three blows on our behind. Amazingly enough and contrary to Benjamin Spock’s views, I do not resent my grandparents at all but admire their love and disciple specially as they spoke to us from their heart in tears about the “why?” before the spanking.

They always pointed out to God the Father as one to whom they must give account of themselves and us. By word and deed we learned that there is only one Father of the Father of the father, of the father ... of all created beings and in his sight we all are equal and children created to listen and do the will of God. The wonder of wonders is that by so doing you can become at the foot of Jesus, the true Mother, the true brother, and the true sister of Jesus.

Just imagine and delight in the fact of making God visible like Mary who maded God visible in Jesus. Go ye therefore pregnant with Jesus as his witness and give birth to your testimony by pen, proclamation and persuasion. Jesus has risen and he is risen indeed!!!

This was the voice of a bruised reed as I smolder with one finger to write this letter of love to you.
