Gerry Gutierrez' Update

It's Resurrection Sunday morning early and
I am thinking of You my friends

“Faith is a gift from God.”

Anyone who attempts to undermine faith, and trust commits the crime of “High treason.”

To them God says, “vengeance is mine, I will repay.”
Relationships are based on trust and once trust is broken there is nothing upon which to build but broken foundations.

There are two known effects of betrayal and those are, “Godly sorrow and worldly sorrow.” Peter and Judas are two who broke trust.
Peter was led by godly sorrow into repentance and restoration and forgiveness of sin while Judas was lead by worldly sorrow into unrepentant remorse and suicide. Only Jesus can restore that which is broken.

The Resurrection of Jesus brings about the convicting power of repentance and Faith strong enough to build not with new material, but with the broken living bricks that once they heal are stronger than in the beginning. It is said that a broken leg bone once it heals it never breaks again in the same place.

The example of Peter before and after the resurrection of Jesus is enough evidence that proves our point that the Gospel is a Gospel of repentance for the forgiveness of sin. Jesus always builds with that which men rejects by putting broken bricks back together.

God the Father himself builds his church with that which builders rejected making out of Jesus the Corner Stone. The same broken body and poured out blood of Jesus is at the Resurrection Gloriously restored to wholeness in the same way as Peter and David and Moses as well as our lives is restored by the works of God through faith in the Resurrection.

It is also true that a bird with broken wind might not fly as high as he could, but it flies nevertheless. Moses mistrusted God’s Word In the wilderness and was not allowed to enter into “The Promise Land.”

Moses was discipline by the Lord himself and restored to the point of being one of the few along with Elijah who came down from heaven and appeared in the mountain of transfiguration with Jesus.

David broke trust with God when he openly committed adultery with Bathsheba and killed Uriah her husband. God did not allowed David to build God’s Temple because his hands were stained with blood but let the son of David the King Salomon to build his Temple.

Nevertheless David is known in History as the “Man after the Lord’s own heart.” And Jesus is also known as the Son of David.

The accepted work of Jesus in the cross and the Resurrection is the only bridge back to God by grace through faith and this not of ourselves but faith is a gift of God. Salvation is of the Lord from beginning to end and every step of the way.”

The immense chasm created by the Crime of High Treason that should have lead us to suicide like to Judas is no longer a threat to us who repented and is forgiven BY FAITH in THE RESURRECTED JESUS. Thank God for the gift of Faith that is from God.

The Lord is risen, and he has risen for you and me. Alleluia!!

My joy this early Sunday morning is that, “I know my redeemer lives.”
