“He bought it.”

The Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl.

44“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

45“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

I do not have much, but what I had I sold it in joy and “I bought it.”

Though I have been called traitor by my former comrades and lost their loyalty and friendship, I have never by God’s Grace and love regret it for a moment the fact to have “bought Jesus.”

When my children were old enough to listen and think on their own, they also learned to be merchants in search of the pearl of great value so that in joy they also have learned early in life to buy Jesus as their most precious possession.

My wife Ruthie who presided me by entering the kingdom of heaven first, in joy she also “bought Jesus” and now waits for me in heaven.

My daughter Keila, who died last year at 42, “bought it” also and worked herself to death by trying selling Jesus the “Pearl of great price” to her students in the University of Delaware.

Today is Saturday after the crucifixion and death of Jesus.
Let us think together of Jesus in the tomb as of a pearl in a clam to be open tomorrow and reveal Jesus, “The Perl of great price.”

Tomorrow morning as the jaws of death are broken wide open to reveal Jesus the Hidden treasure of God, might it cause us afresh and in joy to sell it all and buy “the pearl of great price” Jesus the resurrected Lord.

By God’s grace and love, might you be known from this day forward as those who “bought it.” If you have “bought it”, you must sell it! Sell it! Sell it! Sell it!!

Before the bell rings and announces the end of trading followed by the trumpet sound announcing the hostile take over of the king who comes to take possession of his gains by righteous force with his mighty angels.

As for me and my house, “we bought it” and we are merchants of God, selling Jesus the fountain of every blessing, joy, comfort, grace and peace.
Get up early in the morning tomorrow and buy at the opening bell and bet all you have and are for what is in the clam of the tomb about to break open.

The Lord has risen!!! And he has risen indeed.” The Lord is worthy and he is worthy our all indeed.
