Short and Sweet. A snack for your week.

“The mystery and mastery of prayer.”

If faith is taking Jesus at his word and prayer is to agree with the will of God as revealed in Scripture, then there is no mystery in prayer and all we need is the mastery of the mind of Jesus who is the head of the body the church of which every believer is just a member.

No one knows how to pray more than Jesus who himself is God and the Son of God who knows how to talk to God according to his will as revealed in the word of God.

There is only one will and it is bound to prevail immutably and Jesus knows and has revealed that will to us. What is the will of God?

16Rejoice always, 17pray continually, 18give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

THAT IS ALL!!!

In oneness with Jesus who as our head is interceding at the right hand of the Father and with the help of the Holy Spirit we can not pray anything different from what our Lord Jesus is already praying intercessory prayers to the Father.

Therefore, prayer is just joining in agreement our feeble prayer to the strong prayer of Jesus to the Father.

Resent not the sovereignty of God in prayer. Jesus has secured our life of prayer by teaching us how to pray when he taught us to pray “The Lord’s Prayer” which is a comprehensive prayer that covers all human wants and needs.

Why do we need to replace the Lord’s Prayer by “babblings” that will never be heard and let alone answered by God?

When Jesus said on the cross “It is finished”. Jesus had completed his work of redemption including the teaching on Prayer. As the Father said on the mountain of transfiguration I also appeal to you my beloved brothers to “LISTEN TO HIM.”

Jesus has taught us to pray by praying and by making us repeat after him “The Lord’s Prayer.”

Since year one I was taught to speak by repeating after my grandmother “The Lord’s Prayer.” For over 70 years I have been praying and finally I have understood prayer at my old age. Since then I have focus all my attention to Prayer and as I have dig deeper and deeper for many years I am in the position to say delightfully and in divine joy, ‟I am at the waters edge but confident to be in the right place not only tiptoeing but bathing in safety and comfort.”

To me prayer is “IT” and everything else is part of “IT.”

“Let us Joyfully Pray continuously giving thanks in all our circumstances knowing that, that is the will of God for us in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
