Gerry Gutierrez' Update

Can you handle the Truth, the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth?

“The fifth Gospel.”

People have the tendency to believe half of what they hear. An edited version of the Gospel is the “Fifth gospel”. “The fifth gospel is no Gospel at all.”  Someone who thinks he has the power and authority to “edit” the Gospel is one who is “Wiser in his own eyes than the author of the Gospel”.
While Paul says that the Gospel is the power of God and Jesus affirms that “Nothing will be impossible for you”. Men choose to believe what they can handle and ignore what they cannot handle thus weakening the Gospel.

Parents are coming to Jesus himself on their own and are bypassing the super apostles saying, “Lord, have mercy on my child.” “He is an epileptic and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him”.

I am embarrassed along with the disciples for the weak use of God’s power entrusted to us by faith in Jesus and the Holy Spirit. In matters of faith it is self-evident the absence of Faith, Power and Authority therefore we are worth the rebuke of the Lord Jesus. Jesus in his rebuke presupposes that by that time the disciples should have been able to cast the demon out the child but they could not because they had such a little faith”.

Let us call things by its name. Little faith is nothing but little trust and no confidence in the name of Jesus is unbelief.

Jesus calls it, an “unbelieving and perverse generation”.
Just because we call it “Little Faith” is does not mean “Little Offense”.
According to Jesus the lack of faith is “Perversion and Unbelief”.
These two words are so wicked that they are the parents of the “unforgivable sin” of “UNBELIEF” in capital letters. We must know that Jesus is not pleased and will not have for innocent those who have little faith in-spite of his intimacy with him and many years in the Way.

We have been long enough with Jesus and have no excuse for the weak use of God’s power. Beware, Jesus is “putting up with us” as if he would be a loaded Camel to its maximum capacity and we are sitting on him in unbelief as the last straw to break the Camels back.
The cup of our perverse iniquities is about full to over flowing.
In contrast to the disciples, Jesus who has faith in the Power and Authority of God calls the boy of the concerned father and shows him great compassion and mercy and rebukes the demon that came out of the boy, and he was healed immediately.

The disciples came to Jesus later in private and asked him, “Why couldn’t we drive it out”? He replied, ”Because you have such a little faith. I tell you the truth if you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain, ”Move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you!”

When they came together to Galilee he said to them, ”The Son of Man is going to be betrayed in the hands of men. They will kill him and on the third day he will be raised to life.” And the disciples were filled with grief.
GRIEF? Yes, they were “FILLED WITH GRIEF”.

The matter remains breathtaking, Jesus just predicted a great truth of his Death AND HIS RESURRECTION but his disciples heard only half of what Jesus said.

They only heard the death part and were filled with grief. They didn’t hear the resurrection from the death part on the third day and if they heard it they did not believe it and ignored it by editing in their minds the supernatural. This proves our point that man has the tendency to believe only half of what he hears. While we believe the edited version of the gospel, our lives will be powerless.

Jesus insists saying; “Nothing will be impossible for you”.

Parents of all land, lest us be in agreement together and pray for our sons today my friends. Make sure to work in their salvation in fear and trembling.

My counsel is that you might be men and women after the heart of God like David who said: “One thing you have spoken, but two things have I heard.” A child reads between the lines. A child has insight into the heart of the father. A child knows things of the father by intimacy with him. A child knows what baby gorillas know that, “The father gorilla is strong but he is also gentle.

Let us not be found like these disciples who were filled with grief because Jesus had spoken two things, but they only heard one thing. Death and resurrection in the same breathe as two faces of the same coin.

“Live by the Gospel and die by the Gospel.”

The Gospel is not an ideal idea nor is merely a good news neither is it a concept to be mastered but the Gospel of God is a person to be known, loved, believed and followed and that is Jesus God the Son.
