Ignoring Jesus!

 

Not to take Jesus at his word it is to ignore Jesus.

It should not be a surprise to them who ignore the conditions of Jesus for prayer when Jesus in turn ignores their prayers.

It is not a small matter to ignore Jesus and his conditions for prayer.

We are to pray by faith and in agreement with God’s will according to scripture. Period.

 

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18: 19 to 20 

 

What we usually do is to plunge into praying as soon as we heard a petition for prayer without stopping to think whether the petition is a valid request and in conformity with the will of God and consistent with the revealed word of God.

How could such a thoughtless prayer be in alignment with God? Where is the decorum at addressing the king?
Is that the language and manners of the court? Is that kind of prayer a prayer in spirit and truth that we want to pass it on to our children?

Living in grace is not a license to kill manners, honor, respect and the reverent fear of the Lord as we speak to “Our Father who are in heaven, whose name is Holy.” The right spirit in prayer is more important than praying itself. If we take time to break through to God, but business with God can be as short as touching the hem of his garment.

Until Faith is taken as equal to Prayer under the Will and Word of God, men will never be in alignment with God and let alone in oneness with God who “IS” and there is no other. F=PW2.

Meanwhile, remember that God is patient and he has all the time of the world plus eternity to wait a see when we finally turn around and take Jesus at his word in a childlike manner and seek to agree with God in Prayer and rejoice in doing the Will of God as revealed in the Word of God.

On the other hand, “we have one short life and soon to be all gone on earth and only what is done in Jesus will last”.

Why would our good Lord Jesus insist for us to just ask and constantly encourage us to seek and knock if it was not in his budgeted generosity to grant whatsoever we asked?

Keep in mind that the God who owns the cattle of the thousand hills is also the absolute owner of the gold, platinum and diamonds of the world and the Piggy Banks of the world and to him it does not make any difference to grant Ten million or ten Billions or more because in the balance on his checkbook will not suffer a dent in the least bit.

The basic problem of man is that he does not know God well enough to trust him fully and ignores the power of God and his limitless resources and wealth. Our problems will remain the same with the exception that as with any other problem we will try to solve it by “AC” Air conditioning our environment to make it tolerable without changing the situation radically. 

The weak use of God’s power has become the normal instead of the exception. We talk our way out of any and every problem by using theology to neglect a duty instead of obeying God in a childlike manner. We are becoming “the talkative” of the Pilgrim’s Progress.

But the Kingdom of “God it is not a matter of words but of power.”

What is worse is that we have failed to recognize Jesus the hope of glory in one another, “bravely passing gag orders” against those who dare to speak the true truth. Not so much that what others say is evil but because we do not like their tone, choice of words, accent or color of skin or place of origin.

We propitiate a toxic environment and make room for the modern day coward terrorists to gang up as “ hit men” to silence the dissonant voices we dislike. This indeed is throwing the baby with the bathwater. What good is the banana peel without the banana? 
What good is a religion without the supernatural being lived in the most natural way?

A friend of mine said to me. “Some of these teachers have nothing to offer but what they say they say it so beautifully.” Sweet nothings are words like the whisper of a lover to the ears of a girl where the message is not as important as the warm touch of his deceitful lips on her ears promising eternal love if “she proves her love” to him.

My itching ears from an upper respiratory infection will never be solved by my index finger. 

 

How can I appreciate the value of what I have if I am not allowed to the challenge of the wind and the storm of over the trees of my convictions?

Oh how the Royal Palm tree would like to stand still, but the wind and the storm does not leave her alone. Yet how beautiful you are Royal Palm tree in time of peace or in time of war.

How tall and strong when you lineup with others like you on a class of your own welcoming those brave pilgrims who have survived the storm.
The narrow road to heaven on its last stretch it seems to be wide and beautiful adorned on both sides by tall Royal Palms, as tall guardians without flaming swords are the welcoming committee that lead to the Pearly Gates.

It is not by strength or speed the pilgrim has arrived to heaven but by faith and prayer. “For the battle is not of the strong nor of the race of the swift but victory is of the Lord.”

She who believes by faith in prayer and moves on her hands and knees moves will touch the edge of the garment of Jesus and will have a taste of heaven on earth.

He who at the end of his life asks Jesus to “Remember him when he comes in the glory of his Kingdom” will be ushered by Jesus himself before the Father as a trophy in pride and honor for the sole fact of having accepted in a child like manner the forgiveness of God offered in Jesus.

It takes only one look at the cross and one first and last prayer in the name of Jesus in childlike faith to obtain the free gift of God in Jesus.

Forget manipulating the Air Conditioning digital buttons of your environment and dare to go all the way to the Garden at the cool of the day barefooted to the joy and the warm comfort of the bosom of Abraham and his finishing school while being detailed and cleaned up for the great wedding.

As a fisher of man I have cast my line today in prayer hoping you find the lures attractive and give me a nibble. Just “Think Tank”. Think in Prayer. Think F=PW2. Think and thank in this thanksgiving and ask. 

We need to believe and pray we need to agree together according God’s Will as revealed in the word of God. F=PW2.
For if we keep ignoring the conditions set by Jesus for prayer and praying in our terms and manners, he in turn will ignore our prayers.

What do you have to lose? Why don’t you seek to understand F=PW2 and come into alignment and oneness with God and make a mighty use of God’s power in Prayer?” One plus Jesus is majority. 

“All things are a prayer away to those who take Jesus at his word.”
