Gerry Gutierrez' Update

Changing the world by being a good listener instead of being a talker.

Sit down to speak and stand up to listen.

The gospel of Jesus is only good for those who have ears to hear.
Today’s problem it’s no longer the lack of information but the lack of power to listen with the intention to obey the will and the word of God.

Prayer is not calling out to God to come to listen to what I have to say like the mother the brothers and sister of Jesus call him outside wanting to talk to him. Prayer is more listening than talking to God.
Jesus said that many bubbling is not what brings about answer to prayer.

“That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake such a great crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it while all the people stood in the shore then he told them many things in parables”.

The picture of Jesus sitting down by the lake in the boat is such a appealing picture as of one who has time and not in a hurry like many leaders today that are so busy with a full agenda and always in a hurry to go like a hummingbird from flower to flower before a fellow hummingbird beats him in the draw and it’s quick in the trigger for the nectar of the souls of people.

People standing to listen are another precious picture that describes the hunger on the thirst of people to listen to Jesus.People standing up is the only way to maximize the use of the space near Jesus for a good closer look or even eye contact and listen closer standing on the foot square that’s the real estate that belongs rightfully to the follower of Jesus.

More people can fit in a small space if there stand instead of sitting down or laying down. He who is standing to listen is one who has ears to hear. It is appropriate to say of them that, “they hung on every word Jesus spoke”.

In the western wall of Jerusalem people pray standing and moving back-and-forth touching the wall with on hand as not to loose balance in an attempt to abide by the great Shema of Deuteronomy six.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength and with all your mind.”
Standing and moving to pray helps the mind to focus in what he thinks and says while the motion of the body instead of being a distraction it keeps the other half of the brain occupied in a motion that needs no special concentration but helps to pray with all our being.

If you preferred to pray vowing down to the ground or on your knees, it’s alright so long as you make sure that in your innermost you’re not only a standing but in the state of attention and ready to say yes to Jesus and his will and word.

In the same way you should not open the word of God unless you have the intention to obey. Neither should you pray unless you believe in prayer. For what good is a prayer if you don’t believe in prayer.
Jesus said; “Follow me and I’ll make you fishers of men”. “As the father has sent me so, so sent I you.” “Jesus chose twelve disciples to be with them.

Jesus did not call us to have as many as one-night stand experiences with as many people as we can and call it Evangelism. The heart of the great commission is to make disciples by teaching people to obey everything that Jesus taught them.

Evangelism is a miracle as the conversion of water into wine. Miracles are the work of God as the conversion of a sinner into a saint is the greatest miracle that Jesus performed while on earth.

It is to disciple the converted of Jesus he has called us. Discipleship will not happen unless we are with people as Jesus was with his disciples.

It is not to conquer the world in our terms that the Lord has called us or to build a mega churches or fill stadiums with multitudes.
Events come and go, Woodstock came and left, the million men  March to Washington DC came and left, the gathering of great numbers of people in one place to impress one another still falls in the category of scattering if we do not gather with Jesus.
What impresses God is the unity of one two or three faithful men together in agreement who live supernatural lives in the most natural way making the invisible God visible to our generation as Jesus made his father visible to the whole world.

Jesus returned from the dead and appeared to one faithful woman call Mary in Easter Sunday. Jesus appeared to two of his disciples in the road to Emmaus. After that he appeared to the eleven disciples in various occasions and in a special way to Peter James and John.
His last appearance was to his best friend the beloved disciple John in Patmos.

Contrary of what humans would do with the resurrection, Jesus just went to the few in reach of the small obedience to pray by faith in agreement with the will and word of God where power rest to make men able to say YES to God.

The Lord Jesus by personal example prayed to his father thanking him for his own small obedience. “Father from those you have given to me I have not lost any except a traitor”.

The real Jesus revolution stars when the small obedience of two or three stands in agreement with the mind of Jesus and I have the power to say yes to the will and word of God.

The power of man in oneness with God is the same power of Jesus himself to do nothing but the will and word of God in authority.

In a nutshell the Lord has called us to believe by faith in a child like manner by taking Jesus at his word and to pray in agreement with God according to the will and word of God and be in alignment with God to the point of oneness were all power and authority is ours but only to do the will of God.

That is what F=PW2 is all about.

While Albert Einstein with his equation E=MC2 helps men to subdue the Earth and make nature say YES to men. The equation I offer F=PW2 helps men to subdue him to the point to say, “YES” to God.
Yes is the only prayer worth God’s ears.
Let you yes be yes as back in the Garden at the cool of the day.
Stand up for Jesus for he stood up for you and say yes to God as Jesus in your stead said yes to God in the cross the wisdom of God.

PS. Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.”

PS 2. Men of Power and authority use to sit down to speak and learner use to stand to listen. Now high podiums and loud volume have replaced Power and Authority.
