Spirit Control vs. Gun Control

Guns give advantage.

It discourages the attacker as his advantage disappears before others who have the same advantage to meet them with equal deadly force.
Let us call things by its name. He who knows to have advantage and seeks to use its advantage in a fight, also knows that he will win; knowing that before the fight make him, “A COWARD” because he is not risking anything.

But he, who walks softly and carries a Big Stick, does not look for a fight because violent fighters do not walk softly. Bullies charge confident on their advantages.
Walking softly communicates none threatening behavior while the Big Stick is a dissuasive element in the equation on human relationships.

The mental illnesses of some criminals are but a small portion of society that is rather the exception than the rule. It should not be the determining factor in legislation because it is not representative of the majority of our society.

Guns are not the only means for mass murders of ideologically deranged people use. As we have seen in 911 planes, car bombs, vehicles and buses or even Garbage trucks can be weaponized.

A lasting solution is not something unknown to us or is in the making as if a bright mind will come up with a silver bullet to save us from our predicament.

The fact the Billy Graham died does not mean that there is no one left among men to think God’s thoughts for society. Let every true believer raise and “think tank” and remember that this is our father’s world and let us not forget that we have been trained and equipped with the Spirit and Word of God to draw from the wisdom of God insights for our problems.

God himself in Jesus emasculated his enemies by taking away as from a scorpion the sting of death by removing the advantage of our cowardly enemy leaving him as harmless as paper tiger.

The idea is to disarmed by all means available and take away the advantage of the coward enemy that like Goliath challenges the small and weak in confidence, pride and arrogance.

Cowards know little that a small stone in the hands of a faithful man can not only defeat but also decapitate the otherwise bully of the block.

Unless we face our problems in trusting faith and prayer, no amount of reinventing a new wheel will bring about any lasting solution. America needs to go back to its “First Love”. That is to go back to rescue the constitution which was based on the fear and word of God.

The “Lady Justice”, though blindfolded as good as any blind person, holds a scale evenly balanced in one hand. She also holds in her right hand the sword to execute justice “free from passion” less her loving heart and open eyes may in motherly concern tilts the scale as the mother of Jacob in favor of some.

 

Lady Justice stands firmly on her beautiful legs on the solid ground of scripture as she purposefully keeps the serpent under check and immobilized under the Book of God and the God of all books the Bible. The serpent is unable to choke at will its victims as it freely did to our first parents in the Garden.

Let me illustrate differently. The United Nations building in New York has the figure of a dragon being killed by and Angel. This monument was made out of the scrap of metal left over from ICBM from Russia and the United States as a symbol of desire of peace and getting away with weapons of mass destruction. 

 

The dragon has been killed at the end of the cold war. The question is; are we at peace and security resting in our victory? The honest answer is that we are not one little bit more secured than before.

 

In fact the contrary is true. Out of the belly of the dragons like worms are being born many small poisonous snakes making the world more unpredictable than ever before. Nuclear proliferation is rampant. 

 

While nearsighted people are trying to convince our generation to let the serpent go once again free to harm with its advantages to bully the world like Goliath. 

 

Every crisis is also an opportunity and out time requires that Young and old to raise like David and face the Goliath’s of our time. David clothed by Faith and belief in God in a childlike manner in God unwavering faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Jesus must step in the arena.

 

It is time to make room for the Faith based initiatives and place them in every school and universities to guard like watchmen on a tower against enemies foreign and domestic. Remembering the words of a great leader who said wisely that, “The Philosophy of the classroom in one generation will be the philosophy of the government in the next generation”. I see Evangelism and discipleship as God's given tools to not only make America great again but the world where our Lord has put us as leaders. The world is longing for leadership today. Hard work but noble task. 

 

We need to encounter evil and it is seemingly advantages position in the arena of ideas with the fear of the Lord that comes from a child like trust in God and in agreement with his Word and to do the will of God according to scripture.

Let us go back to our First Love and cast our net in our lake in the name of Jesus.
