“How can it be”?

 

“How can it be”?
At times God seems to need us and even begs us to love him back.
How can it be?
At times God seems to want my worship and praise as if it was necessary to him.
How can it be?
There are times when God seems to be so satisfied I turn left instead of turning right!
How can it be?
Many times God rewards me with his love and rich fellowship as if he is also enjoying it just as much as I am.
How can it be?
When all my wants and needs are met in the most wonderful ways, I ask myself.
How can it be?

Then I look at my children and what they do for me in my time of need and want, then and only then I come to understand a little more that as much as they can do physically many things for me, it is not that kind of need that I want the most from them.
I just want and need them, to look at their faces, hear their voices and get to know of the abundance of their hearts more than anything else they can do for me.
To be with them is what I want and need the most.
“Jesus chose twelve, to be with Him”.

Could it be that this is my family resemblance with my father in heaven?
Could it be that the almighty God who is perfect, complete, omnipotent has also the power to love to the point of pain and harm even unto death?
How could it be then that he seeks and saves that which was lost and is not ashamed to be compared with a mother hen, with a shepherd or an old man the father of a prodigal son because of love?

God must truly, truly love me and really, really want me to be with him.
God often lures me to the desert to court me by whispering in my ears sweet promises that are instant realities when I accept them in a childlike manner.
God is actually the one and only true lover of my soul.

Ask no more, how can it be? Because God is love and love is always in working clothes.
While we are prompt to wander from the God we loved. He has already made provision to celebrate our return home by fattening the calf.
How can it be?

Because God is God and he knows us more than a father and a mother knows the child they bring into the world.
God is love and he cannot afford to stop loving us and remembering us.
A mother might forget the child she has given birth to in pain, but God will never forget us.
God does not forget anything but he does not remember to hold our sins against us once we repent from them all.
God in Jesus does not hold grudges against us.
His anger might endure for a moment but his mercies are renewed every morning.
Fear not little flock, God is not angry against us but against the enemy of our souls.
How can it be?
Because God is love.

Love is self consuming.
Love does not rest until it is finished and paid in full. If you are not loved as you need or want, love any way, for it is not your good work that love is all about but Jesus in you the constraining Power of the nature of God loving in spite of you through you and because of you.
You are not your own, you are of God and created to be loved.
Grace and peace will fully be yours and complete, when you let Jesus in your life to love through you starting with your family and the elect to whom you have seen.

How can it be?
That is the way it is for the glory of God, and our own blessing and the benefit of the common good.

PS. Rejoice with me that my rehab is doing great and I am learnings again to walk and mastering my balance. My left arm is still very stiff and at times lifeless.
Lois will arrive today from Los Angeles to be with me. Yahooooo!!!!
