source of Power and authority
is
from the brain and not from the muscles.
Seven years ago I brought my wife Ruthie to the Siskin Hospital Physical
Rehabilitation for her to learn to walk again because she broke her leg due to
cancer in the bones. The first thing I noticed on the hallways of this hospital
was a picture of an American soldier in parade uniform who was wounded in
Afghanistan. A note under the picture read, Ò Thank you Siskin for given me
another opportunity to fight for my country.Ó Out of that saying I made a prayer and
asked the Lord to give us another opportunity to serve him again in Peru by
healing Ruthie.
I remember saying that soldier was a true soldier by vocation and nature. I was
looking in that picture a true hero who was not given up from fighting at the
first excuse of pain and wounds of war. Little did I knew that seven years later
I would be brought in a stretcher to the Erlanger Hospital and a week later to
the Siskin hospital as a wounded soldier of Jesus praying the same prayer and
asking God to use Siskin to give me another opportunity to serve my Lord Jesus
and his elect.
While I learn to stand up again and make my first steps again on walking with
the Walker in order to work on my own again I realize that I am a soldier. A
soldier does not choose where to fight with whom to fight and when to fight. Even
though I am in rehab as patient I am here representing my Lord Jesus as his
witness to testify.
The way how I react to my circumstances as a witness of Jesus is indeed my
testimony to the doctors, nurses and many others that if I was healthy I would
have not a fresh and relevant message to delivered to them that was from
weakness and not from the strength of the flesh.
So far I have met about 75 doctors, nurses, hospital workers and
visitors with the exception of three mean spirited people who resisted me but
not even they are my enemies but in their weakness have allowed to be the tools
and the means of the enemy of my soul to seek to discourage me and silence me.
I will never forget little Sarah Maldof and Jacob who
by their treatment of me and my needs have shown me
the love of God as angels in disguise.
Today is my first day of rehab in Siskin and i am
looking forward to start the road of recovery with my sights to have complete restoration
and reconciliation of my left side of my body to the right side of the body
under the Will of my brain.
Remember that a stroke is the lost of communion of the brain with the members
of the body. My legs as strong as they are, are
useless without remaining in the ÒVineÓ of my brain. What is worse is that my
left arm and left legs though claim to be something because of the strong bones
and muscles, in reality they are nothing if they are
not connected to the brain.
The very job description and masterful performance the exercise for 72 years is
not even a distant memory, but none existent because they have not a memory of
their own. I will have to teach my arm and leg to stand and walk as if it were
the first time. Unless the members of my body are in agreement with my mind I
am as good as a vegetable.
In the same way unless two or three agree together with the will of God
according to the word of God, we also will remain fruitless in our service of
the Lord as his witness and unable to testify to anyone in the power of the
Holy Spirit that keeps us in alignment with God and oneness with the almighty
in whom all prayers are yes in the name of Jesus. F=PW2.
Pray for me and with me that we as one body might rejoice completely as our Lord
answers our prayers presented in agreement to the father in a childlike manner.
Siskin has an army of capable doctors and nurses. So far itÕs been
a very pleasant experience to be among polite and good looking and well
educated ÒbeautifulÓ nurses. While flat on my back unable to move normally
without option but to look upwards toward our Lord, my peripheral vision
registers your presence, love and care around me by your texts, email, phone
calls and visits and the extra deeds that I can see the finger prints of God in
you.
What a blessed man I am to be pampered with love and care as in you generosity
you have brought my son Caleb to be with me in representation of the family.
What was true for Abraham is true for me as a friend and servant of our God and
Father: ÒI will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse
you.Ó Expect blessings my loving and caring friendship, help and encouragement,
It is the law of God that those who act according the ÒRoyal
LawÓ will be treated royally by the king of Kings.

of surgery that some would witness His hand!! Your faithfulness in Him is also
a powerful witness - even to me :-) God loves you my brother, more than we can

full recovery in your therapy, restored as at first and not as it was at the
last!!

actually!!!

PRAISE THE LORD!!! I have been in fervent prayer for you for days and have
trusted Him for your full recovery. He is healing you and will bring you back
to full speed. You are treasured by so so many of us
and we benefit from your life and your writings. You point us to Jesus and to
His glory to the point that we burst forth in joy and obedience!

Sandy and I prayed for you this morning. We
have been very sorry to hear about this affliction and pray they will find out
just what the trouble is. We are so pleased that you can be surrounded with
family--you have wonderful children and grandchildren, and for all the other
lives you have touched, they are the ones most impacted by your life and
ministry.
