“Miracle
in Room 7117.”
Three days ago…the doctor said, ”You must have a surgery on your
spinal cord and then later to have a surgery on your hipotálamos
that seems to have a tumor in the pituitary glands.” I accepted this as from
the Lord.
Early this morning I was rushed to the operating room.
The nurses started to connect the IV and put something like a shower cap on my
head and they prepared me with all kinds of counseling for the surgery.
The anesthesiologists introduced themselves. They were about to put me to sleep
and while the words were still in their mouth my surgeon doctor came and said
to me, “Mr. Gutierrez I’m sorry to tell you this but we are not going to do the
surgery. I just saw the third MRI and at closer look at it with contrast it is clear
to me that you did have a stroke and making a big hole in your neck and doing
the surgery is not going to help your recovery and your rehab. In fact we will just wait-and-see about the
pituitary gland also, I’m sorry to tell you but I don’t see the need to do any surgery.”
I said “Dr. Miller, this is from the Lord, because
many of my friends are praying for me and I have let the Lord do his will
whatever it maybe. To me it is much like Jehovah God who once again has stopped the hand of Abraham and his knife from making wounds on me his Isaac.
Jesus was hurt that I might not hurt. By his wounds we are healed.”
Then the doctor said with a smile, “Go back to your room and have
a good breakfast and start with your rehab.”
Now to you who believe in prayer and praying for me and with me I say, “just as
Isaac was dead in the mind of Abraham for three days and resurrected to life
the third day when God stopped the hand of Abraham, so was I spared from the knife. Rejoice
with me for the health I thought lost but has been found due to your prayers.
This is what life is all about in Jesus. The prayer of God who brought to us
the will of God in human form and has given to us the gift of prayer so we can
talk to God and walk in tune with him and with one another. I hope after this
experience we all come to believe more in the power of prayer.
I knew the Lord loved me but as a result of this experience of mine I hope others
would hear from the Lord “The now I know you love me message.”
Might we all know afresh that the power to stop the knife is for us for the
asking in a childlike prayer of Faith. F=PW2.
In reality it is not God who is in need of evidences that we love
him but it is us who have come a long way from trusting self and others to
trust and love God alone. By grace we love God and we need to know that our
love for God is real and alive thanks to such a times as these of crisis and
sickness.
I wasn’t looking forward to the surgery but I was not afraid either and that
thanks to God’s Grace, I thought you might want to know and to rejoice with me.
What is ahead of me is rehab to re-learn to stand, to walk and
coordinate the members of my body at the orders of my head in alignment as to
bring oneness in my body that now lacks the power and authority to a health
based in the unity of the body.
Let the believers of all lands seek to be one under the mind of Jesus who is
the head of the body the church.
Gerry Gutierrez.
