“Jesus
and taxes”
“Jesus the 501c3 tax exempt non-profit man.”
After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum the collectors of the
two-drachma came to Peter and asked, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple
taxes?”
“Yes, he does” he replied.
When Peter came into the house Jesus was the first to speak.
(Let it be known that he who loved first when we were yet sinners is also the
one who speaks about our concerned first so we might know that he is the Lord
who knows the end from the beginning and has the answer to every prayer before
our mouth speak.)
“What do you think Simon?”. he
asked.
“From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty,
from their own sons or from others?
“From others,” Peter answer.
“Then the sons are exempt,” Jesus said to him. “But so that we may not offend
them, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch;
open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coins.
Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.”
Jesus as the Son of God is a 501c3 tax excerpt status man.
Jesus does not have to pay taxes, but he pays.
“In order not to offend”, those who were seeking to be
offended.
Notice that Jesus
does not have even two drachmas in his pocket.
Jesus had no use for money. Mammon was not his friend, but a slave.
Jesus treated Mammon as slave and Mammon serve him as such.
If Mammon is treated as “lord” it will “lord over us” and we will live long
enough to serve him.
We can not serve two masters. Because
we will end up hating one and loving the other.
Let us teach each other to love Jesus and despise money.
Jesus provides a fish for Peter in order to cover Peter’s taxes and his own
taxes.
This is so much like God who provides in order that his children may give him
back cheerfully and knowing that money is from the hand of God to use it for
his will and glory.
God provided for Peter so Peter can pay to God for Jesus and himself.

My Jegajosiaa of Tacoma Washington.
August 08 2018 WA.
At night fall yesterday Jegajosiaa
Gutierrez (Jeremiah, Gabriella, Josiah and Simeon and Aaliyah’s
first syllable of my grand children’s name at the family Reunion in Tacoma
Washington).
They all received money in brand new crispy dollar bills laid around their body
with outstretched hand so they can open an account in a piggy bank at my
initiative. I want to teach them to save money.
Two days ago Josiah came to me so happy to open his piggy bank I bought for him
last year.
His project was to buy for himself an “Ice cone machine” that arrived the day I
left Tacoma.
The day he opened his Piggy bank Josiah bought flowers for his mother Kelly and
share with his cousins of his “wealth”.
What was amazing to me was that Jeremiah, Gabriella and Simeon did something
very beautiful and heart touching to me.
Their first act of love toward me was to share from their newly squired wealth; one dollar each.
Simeon lead the pack as he made the comment “our rich
grandpa.”
He treated me as one in need of love and he shared his first fruit with me.
It was a joy for me to open a real Bank Account as my next act for Simeon
through Nathaniel who already knew the Lord put in my heart and mind before he
give me his “dollar gift”.
“My Simeon loves me and I love my Simeon, we love each other”. YESSSS!!!
He loves me $1.00 worth and I love him $1.00 worth plus three zeros.
We love each other.
One dollar gift from a toddler is worth a thousand
from an adult. That is today’s exchange rate.
I cannot wait to see what their project for their piggy bank will be next year.
Last night I had five cups of vegetable soup with some snacks
and I already slept like a log for five hours.
Someone knock the door next door at 3 o’clock And I am now having a good time
studying the Parable of the lost sheep that is the reading for me the today on
Matthew18:10 to 14
Our lord speaks sternly against those who look down to his little ones.
The precious idea that jumps out of the passage to me is that of guardian
angels like babysitters are exclusively in charge of each it these little ones.
I immediately felt in company knowing that a caring Father watches over me
through an angel who reports about me always to God face to face of my vital
signs and any and every thing I want and need.
These, plus the lost sheep that our father loves and goes after is inspiring me
to freshly renew my love for my children after whom I would go to the ends of
the earth to find them and live them.
I guess it is in my genes.
It is not our Father’s will that any of these little ones might be lost.
Neither it is my will nor should it be your will to lose any one my dear ones.
Your fellow little one of All Mighty God.
Gerry Gutierrez.
